I…

Uh…

Ahem.

I push myself up. Smooth my tank top. It's still riding up my torso, showing off my stomach. Which doesn't usually bother me. There's only one part of my body I want to hide—

Not going there.

Griffin moves around the bed, unzips my suitcase, pulls it open.

"What do you think you're doing?" I ask.

"Speeding up the unpacking."

"I can do it myself."

"Yeah, but the sooner you do it, the sooner we can get caffeine."

"Matcha lattes?"

He nods. "If Yelp is correct."

"Why didn't you just say that?"

He shrugswhere's the fun in that?

I stand. "I, uh, where is this place?"

"Walkway to the next casino over."

Which means I can wear something warmer. Although—"And after that?"

"Dinner."

"And finding a fuck?"

"Got a whole night planned for your Jules." His lips curl into a smile. A sincere smile. "You'll have a good time. I promise."

My heart thuds against my chest. I want to have a good time with him. I will have a good time with him.

No entanglements.

No strange thoughts of his body on top of mine.

Just two friends hitting the town.

Two friends who are just friends.

Same as always.

Apparently, shorts and a tank top are not appropriate for dinner.

I drag my suitcase into the bathroom. Compare the two nice dresses—the one I bought for the rehearsal dinner and the one I wore to Jackson's graduation party.

Both are sexy and form fitting.
