I run to the loading bay to show Jack.
"Well, it took him long enough to convince her to marry him," Jack chuckles as he looks over the invitation.
"It's next month. Please tell me we can take time off and spend some time in Frontier. I'm dying to see Aurora and my new goddaughter."
Jack pulls me into his arms. “I think we can move around the schedule to make the time.”
“I’m so excited.”
"Me too." He leans down and kisses me. "I'm hoping that spending some time with Aurora and the baby will rub off on you, and we can start talking about having one of our own."
“Hang on,” I hold up my hands and laugh. “I don’t think one visit will do all that.”
“Hey, you’re the one who was talking about telling our grandchildren how we met. We can’t have grandkids without kids of our own.”
I shrug, not entirely opposed to the idea now that I know what to expect our lives will be like up here. "Well, there's not a lot to do in the winter, but I think that we can find some ways to keep warm and grow our family."
Jack throws up his hands in triumph. His dimple appears with the big grin on his face. “I’m going to be a dad.”
“Not yet. You can’t scream that out like that.”
He lowers his voice to a whisper. “I’m going to be a dad!”
“That’s better.” I laugh. “I love you.”
He kisses me again. “I love you too.”
