“It’s mostly her.” I nod towards Willa. “But I have my moments.”
The woman giggles and turns back to her knitting.
“Did you hear that?” I turn back to Willa. “She said I’m adorable.”
Willa runs her fingers in my hair and rests her forehead against mine. "How did I get so lucky?”
I rest my hand across the baby bump and kiss her temple. “You wrote me a love letter.”
She giggles. “I still can’t believe you didn’t run screaming from campus when you read that.”
“Are you kidding? That was the best day of my life up until that point.”
“And since then?” She asks, but already knowing the answer.
“The day you agreed to be my wife.”
“And the day I became your wife.”
“And the day you told me that we were going to be parents.”
She smiles. “So many milestones already.”
“We still have a lifetime of them to come.” I kiss her as the plane begins its descent.
