I moan with anticipation. Throughout the day, I was consumed with jealousy and didn’t realize how much I missed him. The truth is I thought about him too, probably every minute as well. Whether I sat or stood, I felt the sore that resulted from our love-making. I can’t wait for him to come inside me again.

But Andrew doesn’t do what I want him to. He seems to deliberately delay my gratification. He drags his cock along my gash, back and forth, tantalizing me.

“Andrew, please!” I beg.

“Please what?” he grunts into my ear, tickling me with his hot breath.

“Please come inside me!”

He growls as he grabs my hips and sweeps me up, letting me wrap my legs around his waist. He thrusts into me, smashing me against the wall and expelling the air out of my lungs. He rams into me hard and deep, and within just a few thrusts, I’m on the verge of coming. I roll my pelvis against him, hitting my sensitive point on his hardness each time he pounds against me, and soon I’m trembling and coming apart.

He releases right after me, shooting a warm jet of cream into me.

I’m aware that we’re not using a condom, but I don’t care. I don’t mind having Andrew’s babies, even if he doesn’t want them. Oh God. I’m crazy about this man. I don’t even want to leave him.

I cling to him like a monkey long after we climax. He seems to have sobered up quite a bit. “Damn, Brittney,” he mutters. “What the hell are you doing to me? I’m sorry. Was I too rough? Did I hurt you?”

I shake my head and mumble against his shoulder. “No.” Not physically, at least. Although my heart aches because he hasn’t asked me not to move out.

“You’d better get some sleep,” he says, putting me down onto the floor. “You have a long day ahead of you.”

“Yeah,” I say as I gain my balance.

“Do you need help with moving? I could start the gym a couple of hours later,” he murmurs as he brushes a strand of hair away from my face.

“No,” I say, inhaling deeply to stop the tears that threaten to betray my emotions. “I don’t have much to move. I came in with a suitcase, remember?”

He smiles a little. “Right. Just let me know if you run into any trouble. Move back anytime if you don’t like the place.”

“Sure. Thanks.” I smile back and head toward my bedroom.

As soon as I return to my bed, I let tears pour out of my eyes. Oh God! Do I have to move? Can I be with him just for a while longer until he marries Melissa?

Chapter 14

Andrew

It’s been a long day. After getting into my car after work, I’m suddenly reluctant to go home. I’ve been living alone for years and never felt lonely. Today, however, I dread going back to the empty house by myself. I’m used to having Brittney coming home every night, even though we don’t sleep in the same room. I’ve enjoyed making dinner for her, even though we don’t have it together.

I make a stop at a bar near the gym. I order a drink from Jerry, a bartender I have gotten to know pretty well over the years. Jerry is a chatty person and never fails to entertain me with his endless supply of anecdotes. He’s about my age but already married with two kids. His oldest boy is five years old, and the younger one, a girl, is two. “We went to the beach over the weekend,” Jerry says as he shows me pictures on his cellphone.

“Lisa is pregnant again?” I ask when I notice the round belly of his wife in a bikini. “Congratulations!”

He thanks me, and then he says with a chuckle. “My boy asked me the other day how the baby got into his mom’s belly.”

“What did you say?”

He shakes his head. “Man, it was the hardest question for me to answer. He asked it once when Lisa had our second child, and I told him it was magic. But this time I figured he wouldn’t buy it anymore, so I told him Daddy put it in there. And of course he asked how.”

“Holy cow,” I say. “How did you go on?”

Jerry shrugs. “I had to rack my brain. But finally I told him I made a special drink for his mom and fed her that.”

Despite my morose, I burst into laughter. “That’s not untrue at all.”

“Exactly!” Jerry says before turning to pour a drink for another customer, leaving his cellphone on the counter.

I glance at the cozy family photo again. Jerry looks like the luckiest man on earth, surrounded by his adorable children and his beautiful wife. I know how he and his wife met—they were high school classmates. But it took Jerry years to woo her and conquer her heart. Jerry is extremely proud of his accomplishment. “I might not have a successful career, but I have a perfect family,” he brags about it all the time.
