“You’re using power on me, aren’t you,” I said suspiciously as my brain seemed to weigh how I felt, finding my mood shifted quicker than natural.
“Just a little. Maybe there is a better way to show you everything is fine now,” she said before lunging at me. Her hands came around to cup my face as she gave me a short but audible kiss. “See. If I thought it wasn’t your soul, I wouldn’t have been able to stand that.”
“Darling, if you are trying to prove I do not repulse you, that kiss was about the least convincing thing you could have done.” It hadn’t been the worst kiss, but it surely wasn’t making me feel like she was dying to be with me.
“I didn’t want it to get too crazy since you have this grand idea of making it a perfect moment or something.” She rolled her eyes at me before giving me a challenging smirk.
“I think I have just the thing for you.” I ran from her room and into mine, grabbing the present I had made just for her.
She hadn’t even moved from the bed by the time I got back. Maybe she was expecting something wrapped, or at the very least hidden playfully behind my back. Her look turned from excitement to joy as I didn’t slow until I was on top of her. Her back pinned to the mattress. I wrenched both of her hands above her head before securing them in one of mine. In my other hand, I produced her new collar.
Hell certainly had a lot of merchant stores for a place that could give you whatever you needed, but this felt like something I needed made special by real skill. The band was made from thick black leather, with a single ring in the front for a lead, while the back closed with a simple metal clasp. It was easily removable whenever she wanted it off but otherwise functional for my purposes.
She lifted her chin proudly as her arms fell still in my grasp. I felt my dick stir at the sight. She could obey so fucking well on her back like this. I released my hold on her hands.
My hand cupped her neck, running across the smooth skin. Her veins were a deep blue under her creamy white skin, pulsing with each wave of fresh blood. A feeling of both hunger and thirst rose inside me like nothing I had ever felt before. Abandoning the collar, I lunged for her neck, sinking my teeth in deeply. Her blood burst onto my tongue, making me growl as I pushed her further into the mattress as if I could hide her away. To only be mine for the rest of eternity.
I felt her hand come up to weave into my hair, causing me to growl again as I ripped her hand free, placing it back above her head where it belonged. “Stay,” I growled out, raising my head to command her.
Black eyes stared back at me. “Make me.”
I could feel the monster inside me rising to meet the challenge. My grip on her hand tightened as I scooped up the other one, pressing wrist against wrist.
She didn’t cry out or yelp, answering only with a grin.
My free hand reached out, looking for the discarded collar, if for no other purpose than to simply remind her of who was in charge for this moment.
“Looking for this?” She smirked.
The collar floated in the air, above my hand pinning her down. I lunged with my free hand, but the collar was yanked away while Mor bucked from underneath, sending me flying towards the headboard. The moment her hands were free, Mor shot out of bed. By the time I righted myself, she stood leaning against the far wall.
She embodied casual in her short black shorts and purple tank top. Only her nipples betrayed her as they poked out beneath the thin material, aching for the chase to continue.
I was faster; we both knew it.
I took off towards her, and she darted towards the bathroom at just the last moment, causing me to grab on to air. I could hear her echoing laughter taunting me as I turned to make the next attack, but I couldn’t see where she went.
Mor’s bathroom contained two doors, one into the main area and one into her closet. Which meant she was simply waiting for me to choose a direction so she could take the other path and slip by yet again.
I turned into a shadow, flicking up a shield to block my soul from detection as I slowly headed around to the closet. The door was left open, making it too easy for me to slip in and investigate.
She wasn’t in here either, which left just the bathroom. Good thing I just ate.
Drawing deep inside me, I stopped time as I whipped open the bathroom door, finding Mor sitting on the counter, her feet swinging.
I released my power so it wouldn’t drain as much away, realizing that Mor seemed immune to time being stopped.
She held the collar between her hands, flipping it this way and that as if inspecting it.
“Did Hell make this?”
“No. I paid one of the demon merchants to make it for you.”
“What did you pay with?” Her eyes looked up as her investigative gaze now locked on me.
“Vampire saliva has healing properties. I traded a few vials for the collar.”
Her face contorted into a look of disgust before she laughed. “You got me this amazing necklace with your spit. I think I like it even more now.” Unfastening the clip, she fit the collar around her neck.
