Today is my wedding.
I refused Jasper’s offer to bring in some of the demons to help me get dressed. I didn’t need their help any more or anyone’s help. All I needed was my mates, and someone was threatening that.
We had a basic plan, fluid enough to anticipate several possible attack areas. Protecting Jax, of course, would be the main challenge. I had spent every waking moment outside of planning our counter trap, locked up in Jax’s room, attempting to power him up as best I could manage. Jasper and Justice assured me they would have enough time to get fully charged up and ready for the wedding.
Sitting alone in my closet at the vanity, it was almost time for this circus of an event to begin. I wrapped the collar around my neck, which Jace gave me here in Hell. Jasper’s necklace came next as it circled the base of my neck, resembling an unclosed ring of thorns. I had decided on black for my dress, the bottom coming down in panels that flowed when I walked. The top of the dress was a strapless black corset that sat over top of my skirt.
I used telepathic power to twist and twirl my hair into a low and messy bun. After spending so much time with Jax, I was well and brimming with energy that almost itched to be expelled. Thin hair strands hung haphazardly on my face, and I imagined them changing into loose framing curls. A half-empty can of red crystal paint sat on the vanity. A thick stripe of red covered my eyes like a mask, while a thin red line ran from my bottom lip down my chin.
Let’s go to war.
I turned, grabbing my favorite shoes from the vampire realm. Sliding my foot into the shoe, my power grabbed ahold of the ropes and pulled them taut before I paused.
“I’ll be right there. Do not tie them without me.”Jace’s voice came clearly into my head seconds before he burst into my closet. He looked good enough to eat with fitted black pants and a black button-up shirt with the top button undone. His black tie draped across his neck, hanging down untied. His beard was trimmed short while his hair sat haphazardly on top of his head.
My power still held the ropes tightly as I smirked at him. I let the strings cross as if I were starting the first knot. He was on his knees before me instantly, his hands fighting against my power on the ropes.
“You said not to tie them without you. Not to allow you to tie them,” I teased him, placing my bare foot upon his shoulder.
I watched his eyes slide to the space between my thighs; perhaps he hoped to get a sneak peek of the design I decided on for the event. I released my hold on the ropes, giving him complete control over tying my shoes.
His fingers ran up my calves, massaging me and praising me, and reminding me exactly why I should always allow him this honor. The tying of the knots that followed the soothing touch of his massage was sharp and forceful, making me bite my lip before any indignant noises escaped.
My fang sliced clean through the delicate skin of my lip, and Jace’s hands stilled immediately. His head rose, his eyes entirely white as he focused on the bead of blood resting on my bottom lip.
He lunged for me, his tongue sweeping away the drop before licking my seam in a plea for admittance. My lips parted as my tongue swept out to greet his. Our hands roamed over each other, undoubtedly wrinkling our fancy attire. But at that moment, I didn’t care.
“We don’t have enough time before we’re expected to be at the ceremony,” Jace growled out as he attempted to tear his lips away from mine.
My fingers gripped onto his shirt, pulling him back into me. I needed this. We were about to walk into a clear trap with little more than a determination not to die on our side: that and a toddler fire dragon.
I pulled on the power inside me, one I hadn’t tried out before. Jace cautioned that it used a lot of energy, but I had enough jars of demon blood left from Aggie to power up in full. I felt the shift as time around me came to a sharp and sudden halt. Jace’s lips stopped moving against mine as he pulled back.
“Then I’ll make time,” I said to him with a smile as I launched myself at him, taking him to the ground as my knees rested on the floor astride him.
“You shouldn’t be using this much power,” he started before I reached down between us to unbutton his pants and free his thick hard cock. Making my tugs and pulls on his clothing rough like the knots he tied.
“Then make sure you’re quick with it,” I said, pushing my underwear to the side under the flowing fabric of my skirt before sinking on his cock. “Fuck,” I groaned out, throwing my head back as I let him fill me.
“Not enough time for too much of that, I’m afraid, Love,” he said, causing me to look back at him. A glint in his eye dared me to challenge his use of love this time. His hands reached around to grab the back of my thighs as he started to thrust roughly up into me.
I leaned over the top of him, rocking back onto his cock as he thrust into me from below. His hard cock stretched me as he bottomed out between my folds. My body welcomed his intrusion as breathless moans tumbled from my lips.
He leaned up to capture my moans, swallowing them up in his passionate kiss while his cock raced us towards the finish line with no signs of slowing. Waves of pleasure built as a war between power floating in and out of me in a torrent made my head swim.
Jace’s lips left mine in favor of his fangs sinking into my neck. His first pull on my blood was all I needed to come screaming his name as I lost grip on my power. The time immediately sped up for a second before settling in at a more normal pace.
I felt Jace still inside me, his cock throbbing against my pulsing walls. A knock at the door made me tense, causing Jace to groan before he quickly pulled me off him. I fixed my attire as Jace tucked his slowly softening cock back into his pants. A quick use of telepathic power gathered any of our fluids and removed them from our clothing.
“Come in,” I said sweetly as I sat back down at the vanity to put on my other shoe. I grabbed a glass of blood, taking quick gulps to bring my powers back to brimming full. The power usage hadn’t drained me as much as I thought it would, but perhaps that was because I was also pulling in power while using it.
Jax opened the door, his lips fixed into a hard line. “What I just felt was weird, and I do not want to talk about it. Put this on; Justice just finished it.” Jax held his hand out, and inside it was the piece from my collar. Justice had said something about needing Jace to become part of the pack before he could finish the spell.
Jace took the necklace and put it on. The metal touched right above his heart but disappeared as Jace buttoned up his shirt. He didn’t seem physically affected by the token. I looked over to Jax but couldn’t see the skin of his chest in his button-up black attire.
Jace still didn’t have his tie tied. I reached out with my powers, securing the fancy knot with barely any effort before using my abilities on my shoes to secure them. If I allowed Jace to finish the second shoe, I would likely end up on my back this time.
“Are Jasper and Justice ready?” I asked Jax.
