Her entire body tensed as she drew in a short breath.

“Are you ok, Fox?” I whispered, my hand coming up to run down her shoulder.

“Mmhmm,” she hummed out. A smile across her lips.

I continued pushing until I was as far inside her as I could get at this angle. If Mor was enjoying it, then it was worth it to me. Jasper and I began alternating short slow thrusts, working together inside her with complete harmony.

One of her hands shot out, grabbing Jasper’s arm. Her nails dug into his flesh. Her other hand quickly reached up to wind into my hair. She was simultaneously pulling us closer and farther apart. Hovering on a precarious balance, ready to fall but unable to control the onset of the descent.

I put both of my hands on her breasts, caressing and worshipping them as I started to increase the pace of our thrusts. Jasper caught on quickly and joined me.

“It’s time for you to come, Little Fox,” I commanded, pinching and rolling her nipples between my fingers. A groan turned quickly into a moan as she tightened around us, lightly writhing. Jasper and I had ceased all movements, allowing her to set the pace through the crashing waves of her release. Her hands gripped us tightly to her as she fucked herself through her last waves of orgasm. We waited for her to stop moving before I slowly pulled out first, then Jasper.

I quickly scooped her up in my arms to lay her down in the nest so we could clean up the giant mess we had just made. But fuck if that wasn’t the best way to end a hunt. Laying her down, her eyes were closed, but a small smile sat seemingly frozen on her face. It made me chuckle that we had pleasured her into a coma. When I went to move away from her, her eyes snapped open as she reached for my arm. Her eyes were as black as a raven’s feather.

I felt a tug in my chest, where my mate bond sat. It was calling me to her as her bottomless eyes stared back at me. Heavy footsteps of someone running sounded in my ears, but I couldn’t tear my eyes away from hers.

“What’s?” I heard Jace start.

“I think she’s transitioning,” Jax breathed from somewhere behind me.

I watched her eyes close slowly before remaining shut as her body sank away from me. I quickly caught her before she hit her head. Sure, there were blankets, but the floor underneath was still hard. Her body was entirely lifeless as I positioned her somewhat more comfortably, before draping a sheet across her.

“What’s happening?” Jace asked.

“Her soul is transitioning between mortal to celestial. It’s the final stage of a demonling. When she arises, she will be a full demon in every way. But right now, her very soul is changing; it can take a while. All we can do is wait,” I said to Jace, turning around and standing.

I watched his eyes flick to my dick. “Hey, would you mind putting that away now, though?”

I shrugged, going over to my favorite pants and pulling them on quickly. Looking around, I saw Jasper had time to find boxers somewhere. There was a look of concern on Jace’s face as he looked at Mor. Jax stood at the threshold to the room, jaw clenched.

Guess the reports were going to have to wait a little longer. Oops.

CHAPTER18

MORRIGAN

“Hello?” I whispered into the vast expanse of nothingness. The sound echoing off nothing before bouncing back to me sharp as a knife. As if the walls surrounding me were incredibly close. Yet every step I took was met with endless amounts of space.

“You haven’t built anything yet.” A strange low voice echoed off the invisible walls but whispered into my mind. The sensation of the two dichotic tones made me shiver as goosebumps raised on my arms.

I looked down, marveling at my body, only now aware there was more to me than my mental self. Despite the apparent familiarity of being somewhere without my body. Part of me screamed out that this body isn’t my real one. But, it felt so real. In another entirely different way, this body felt like it belonged to me this whole time.

“I don’t understand,” I said, talking into the void. My voice echoed back.

“This is your universe. Build it.” The voice came back sharply this time. Each echo made my body tremble slightly.

I closed my eyes, trying to imagine the vampire realm, the view of the mountain next to the pool. Forests were shrouded by thick fog off in the distance, as the twin moons danced across the night sky. I could almost smell the fresh bite of the crisp mountain moonlit air tickling against my nose. I gasped, opening my eyes, finding my vision materialized with complete detail.

I heard the click of a door, and I turned my head. Jace was walking out, dressed in a full suit. His dark hair was neatly arranged at the top of his head. Even his short beard looked freshly trimmed for the occasion. I went to move towards him, but my feet refused.

“I’m not him,” Jace said, coming to a halt a few feet from me. “I used his body since it was so vivid in your memories. I tried to clean the avatar up a little, making everything more business-appropriate. Since that is what we must discuss, isn’t it Morrigan?”

Despite the tone being an exact match for Jace, none of the words were spoken with the inflection I had come to know from him.

“I don’t know what’s going on,” I said slowly.

“You get the major upgrade. Mortal to celestial. Eventual access back here, beyond the veil.” The anti-Jace said as if it cleared anything up.
