"You got it, Prez," Reid nods.

Lighting a cigarette, Jake brings up another piece of information. "Logan informed me yesterday Sofia received a letter in the mail from Immigration Services."

"What the fuck," Gabriel growls.

"Those fuckers are trying to question her status. I don't even know why the hell she's on their radar." The moment those words leave Jake's mouth, I curse.

"Fuck."

"What ya thinkin, Sam?"

"I can't say for sure, but my gut says Sofia getting that letter has something to do with my dad," I shake my head.

"Speaking of," Quinn jumps in. "What's the status of Riggs and his men, Prez?"

Jake grins. "Let's put a call in now and see what our boys are up to." Using the landline on the table, Jake dials a number then puts the call on speaker. Riggs answers on the second ring.

"Brother."

"What you got for me man?"

"McGregor won't be a problem anymore," Riggs states gaining the rooms attention. "Tell Reid to check his email. Kiwi sent a little present." With that, he hangs up.

All eyes turn to Reid as he begins typing away on his laptop. He picks up a remote and turns on the TV in the corner of the room. A second later a video plays out on the screen, and my father's voice fills the room. "What the hell is going on! Get out of my house before I call the police!" he booms the same time a young woman scurries out of his bed in a haste to cover her naked body. When I say young, I mean she barely looks legal.

"You sure you want to be callin' the police," Riggs taunts. Turning to the girl, he asks. "How old are ya sweetheart?"

"Hey! What are you doing over there?" my dad asks looking over Riggs's shoulder his face turning a nice shade of white. "Turn that camera off!"

"No. I don't think we will. Kiwi, you keep that camera rollin'."

"Look. I'll pay. I have the money. Just take what you want and leave." The crack in my father's voice says he knows he's in deep shit.

"How do you think the citizens of Texas would react knowin' their potential governor likes dippin' his wick in barely legal pussy?" Riggs continues to taunt.

"She's twenty. But still, you can't show that video."

Riggs without a care in the world strolls over to a chair in the corner of my dad's bedroom, sits with his legs spread wide, lights a cigarette and cocks his head to the side. "That's right. It's not your little girlfriend's age that has you shittin' your pants now is it?" he takes another drag of his cigarette. "You don't want people knowin' you're fuckin' a judge's daughter. You seem to have gotten yourself into a hole you can't dig out of."

"What is it you want?" my father asks Riggs.

"Word is you been fuckin' with my brothers. I'm gonna assume you weren't bankin' on how far of a reach The Kings have. Know this motherfucker; there ain't a place on earth The Kings can't touch." Riggs's voice turns to ice as he stands, drops his cigarette on my dad's bedroom floor and snubs it out with his boot. "Besides ATF, you got any more surprises for my friends?" Riggs questions and my dad nods.

"Spit it out. The Kings don't take too kindly to surprises."

I watch as my father visibly swallows. But my dad being the asshole he is has to throw in one last dig, consequences be damned. "I reported my piece of shit son's girlfriend to immigration. Sam is nothing but a fuck up and a disappointment to his family." The moment the words leave William McGregor's mouth, Riggs advances on him, delivering a mighty blow to the side of his head knocking him unconscious. The video ends, and the room falls silent.

I had suspected my dad was behind the ATF and Sofia receiving the letter, but it didn't make it any easier to hear coming straight from his mouth. It's a hard pill to swallow knowing my father hates me enough to hurt innocent people like my girl.

"Son, look at me," Jake breaks through the suffocating silence filling the room, and I bring my attention to him.

"Your old man is wrong. You are not what he says. Ya, hear me? You are a damn fine man. The Kings are your family and this family is fuckin' proud of who you are." I take Jake's word to heart because they are they only words that matter.

It's lateby the time I leave the clubhouse. After we concluded my father would no longer be a problem since The Kings now had enough leverage to ruin his career, I hit the road. Demetri had offered to take care of immigration, stating he knew a guy and Jake accepted. We can breathe easy knowing Sofia's status is safe. At least that is one piece of good news I can deliver to her this evening. As for the situation with the guy who was seen snooping around on New Hope House property last night, we have Reid doing what he does best while the club remains vigilant. It's only a matter of time before he shows again.

After I make it to Sofia's, I give Grey a rundown of what transpired during church before he went back to the clubhouse. As I walk the perimeter of the house, I get a text from Reid stating all looks good. He must have obtained an alert from the motion sensors and saw it was me out here. Once I make my way inside, I set the alarm, slip my cut off and hang it on a hook beside the front door. The house is mostly dark aside from a lamp in the living room, and when I glance down the hall, I see Sofia's bedroom light on. Knowing she's probably finishing up some work, I decided to grab a bite to eat. I smile when I stroll into the kitchen and find a covered plate and a small piece of paper lying on top with my name scribbled on it. My girl is always thinking of others. My stomach rumbles when I remove the foil and find fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans.

With my belly full, I plop down on the sofa, lean my head back and let out a deep sigh. After the shit day I've had, I find being here, being close to Sofia makes it all better. Feeling a dip in the cushion beside me, I turn my head to see my girl sitting there. "Hey, baby."
