"Babe, can you see someone in this truck?"

"Yes."

"Okay. Listen, I'm further away, so I'm going to put you on hold and call Reid. He can get there quicker. Stay on the phone."

I nod though he can't see it. "Okay." Not even a full minute passes before Sam's voice breaks the silence.

"Baby?"

"I'm still here," I tell him.

"Reid is on his way. I'll be there as soon as I can," he assures me. "I've got you on Bluetooth, so stay on the line."

Standing by the window, I continue to watch the truck. I hear the roar of Sam's engine the moment he fires up his bike. "How are you doing, beautiful?"

"He's still there."

"Are the other women with you?"

"No. They're still asleep." I glance over my shoulder at the dark hallway. Turning my attention back to the window I catch the truck pulling away with the headlights off. "Sam, the truck is leaving." I watch as far as my eyes can see until the truck is no longer in sight. Maybe ten minutes pass before the distinct rumble of a Harley gets louder the closer it gets to my house.

"Are you down the road?" I see a headlight glowing in the distance as I look out the window.

"No, baby. That should be Reid. I'm still ten minutes out."

I watch as Reid drives his bike past the house then doubles back before pulling into the driveway and directly in front of the steps leading to the porch.

"Reid will probably check the perimeter first. He'll let himself in when he's done," Sam explains before I try opening the door.

When Reid finishes, he steps onto the porch and punches in the security code for my house into his phone. He finds me standing by the window as soon as he steps inside.

"Sam, Reid is inside now; I'm going to let you go."

"I'll see you soon," he assures then the call ends.

"I'm sorry, Reid."

"Nothing to apologize for, Sweetheart. Sam said you saw the same truck this morning too?"

I nod. "He drove away leaving his lights off before you got here. But before all that, when I first came out to get a drink of water, I could have sworn I saw a shadow outside this window," I point behind him.

"I'm going to go in to Dr. Kendricks office and access the security feed. I think it may be a good idea to wake the women before the guys arrive. We don't need anyone freaking out."

I should have known all the men would be called in. He's right. I don't think Emma will be too upset, but Luna is a different story. With Reid in the office, I first knock on Emma's door. Reaching over, she turns the lamp sitting on her nightstand on. After explaining what's happened and that the guys will be arriving soon, I ask her to go with me to Luna's room. Turning the knob, we find her room lightly lit from the TV being left on. Her eyes pop open the moment I touch her arm. Looking confused, she sits up and leans against the headboard. She looks past my shoulder to Emma who is standing by the door. Turning her lamp on, I sit down on the edge of the bed and explain to her why we woke her up. I do my best to assure her The Kings are good men and she has no reason to be afraid. "You feeling okay?" I ask once I've finished explaining the situation.

Grabbing her notepad, she responds.I'm okay. I trust you.

I leave Emma with Luna and walk back out to the living room. When I reach the end of the hallway, I peek inside Dr. Kendrick's office where I see Sam has arrived along with Grey and Jake. They are huddled together watching the computer screen alongside Reid. I can't hear what they are saying, but the looks on their faces suggest concern. I watch as Jake reaches into his cut pulling out a pistol. He hands it to Sam. Before I'm caught watching, I walk into the office making my presence known. Jake sees me first which causes Sam to turn. Tucking the gun away, he strides toward me.

"Hey baby," he pulls me in for a hug.

"Sam is staying here tonight," Jake announces stepping out of the office. "On the couch," he adds making eye contact with Sam.

Knowing they would tell me more if necessary, I don't ask any question. "I'll go get you some sheets and a pillow." Walking down the hall, I dig around in the linen closet grabbing Sam a pillow, and two sheets. The rest of the men are gone, and Sam is resetting the alarm when I return. I get to work fixing the couch for him so he can get some sleep. Taking a chance, I ask him, "do they know who the guy was? Should we be worried?"

Sam helps by slipping the pillowcase over the pillow. "The club is looking into it."

I sigh knowing he won't divulge more. "There's a good-sized throw on the back of that chair," I point across the room. "If you need more than this sheet."
