"What's going on?" She questions me withconfusion.
"I'll let Sofia explain it all to you, Kitten." I take her hand in mine and we make our way towards Jake and Sofia. I watch Sofia smile at Mila then take her by the hand and lead her towards the front door. Jake and I follow. A gasp leaves Mila's lips as Sofia stops her in front of a wooden sign hanging to the right of the front door just under the porch light which reads-New Hope House, The Charlotte ScottFoundation.
"The club- well Jake bought the house, and after all the paperwork and licensing goes through, your grandmother's home will become a safe house for women and their children who need to start a new life," Sofia explains toher.
"I don't know what to say," Milabreathes.
I walk up behind her and embrace her in my arms. "Your Grams will continue to help others. They will feel the safety and love held within these walls just as you did." I whisper in herear.
Breaking away from me, she hugs Sofia before walking over to Jake and thanking him. "Thankyou."
"You take care of him, and that’s all the thanks I need," I hear him tellher.
Turning her head, she makes eye contact with me, "Forever."
