Your Pants. They Bother Me. Take Them Off
“You still don’t knowwhere he’s taking you?” Sam questioned as I twisted in front of the full-length mirror that hung on my closet door.
I’d gone with a sexy sapphire blue satin slip of a dress and matching strappy heels. It flowed and made me feel awesome. We’d gone shopping last night and picked it all out. “No idea. He just said to be ready at seven.”
“Just wait. When he lays his eyes on you, he’ll be shoving you back through the door to take that dress off you.”
“That’s the plan.” I shot her a cheeky grin and slipped my silver bangle bracelets up my wrist. “Which earrings? Studs or hoops?”
Samantha waggled her brows. “Studs. If tonight goes as planned, you don’t want to deal with your hair getting caught in your earrings.”
“True. I like the way you think.”
“What time is it?”
I glanced at the clock on my nightstand, my heart racing. “Time for you to get going.”
“You sure you don’t want me to take Mooch home with me?” She smirked, stroking his fur one last time before she got up off my bed.
“Stop trying to steal my dog. Speaking of, shouldn’t you be going to get your own. I thought you said you were going by the shelter today.”
“I am. Though if you’d stop being selfish and share custody of Mooch then…” She slid her purse onto her shoulder.
“Hush that evil talk. Mooch is like my child.”
“Yeah. Yeah. I expect a call tomorrow with all the details.”
“I want pics of the dog.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Later.”
Samantha left, and I did another twirl in the mirror, feeling good about myself and the night.
“What do you think?” I looked at Mooch, and the devil farted. “Oh. Sick.” I waved a hand, pinching my nose.
“Let’s go. Time to get in your crate.” I pointed for him to get off the bed using his staircase, and he rolled over wagging his tongue likeyeah right.“If I let you stay out, you better not shit anywhere or chew anything. You hear me, mister?” he snorted and licked his nose. I took that asI’ll try.“Be a good boy.” I bent to kiss the top of his head, and the doorbell rang.
“Whew.” I let out a breath and shook my hands, trying to get rid of my jitters. I didn’t know what my deal was. I’d shared a room with the guy for a week, but somehow this felt different. Clasping the doorknob, I gave it a twist and opened it wide. “Hi,” I whispered.
Mason greeted me with a charming smile and a bouquet of red roses. “For you.” He leaned in to kiss my cheek.
“Thank you. They’re beautiful. Come on in.” I took the flowers and inhaled them deep, moving to the kitchen and putting them in the vase on the breakfast table in the corner.
“You look … just wow.” His deep hunger-filled stare penetrated me. It was exactly what I intended, but I couldn’t help but blush.
I returned his gaze, appreciating what I saw. Mason looked damn good in his dark jeans and black sweater that clung to every muscular curve. “You look pretty good yourself. I’ll just grab my coat.”
He stopped me, grabbing my wrist as I went toward the hall closet. “First, I need to do this.”
Tugging me in close, an arm wrapped around my waist as his other hand went to the back of my head. Our lips met, soft and sure. Tongue prodding against the seam of my lips, he demanded entrance to my mouth, and I happily obliged. Mason kissed me deep and wet with lots of tongue, giving my ass a squeeze. He pulled away reluctantly as I could feel the bulge between us. “Like this dress. If we don’t get a move on now, I’ll be liking it on the floor.” He grinned, and I felt schoolgirl giddy at his words.
“Where are you taking me?” I asked, moving to my coat.
“It’s a surprise.” Like a gentleman, he took my jacket and held it up for me as I shoved my arms through the sleeves. “Have you had dinner?”
