My tongue roams my bottom lip. “Takin’ a lot not to. But today, I’m gonna resist. Don’t tempt the tiger.”

She turns on a giddy laugh and heads to get dressed.

Fuck, this is really happening.

She gets dressed, and we head down to the large rec room that we’ve taken over. We had a company down here come and set up tables and chairs, giving us a space to eat that isn’t covered in sand.

What Leah doesn’t know is it’s being transformed.

When I brought it up to Bristyl months ago, she was so on board I was surprised she kept her mouth shut with all the excitement she had.

“That’s funny. Why is there something blocking the windows?” Leah says, picking up the pace as we get to the door.

Before she opens it, I pull her to a stop.

“What the…” She pauses, looking at me as I grab her hand, the one with my ring on it.

“Love you. Want you to be my wife.” There is no question, because it’s something I don’t question, and neither does she. She will be my wife one way or another, and since I’d already put a ring on it before, I know this will work. The ring is from my mother, at least one of the stones is. I had it remounted and enhanced, but I wanted my mom to be a part of this too.

“Know that, babe.”

I kiss her hard and swing open the door, taking a deep breath. “Good thing you love me.”

Leah stops breathing, her motions frozen as she takes in the space around her. Bristyl went all out. The room is covered in snowflakes, white, and glitter. Yes. We’re in Florida, and we brought a winter wonderland to the beach. When the idea came up, I couldn’t get it out of my head. Sure, we could’ve went to Colorado where there’s actual snow, but I’m tired of waiting. I want her to be my wife.

It’s what she’s wanted since we talked about when and where we’d get married. I just pushed the time frame along a bit. My heart beats wildly waiting for her response.

Leah turns to me. “You do realize this is perfect, so I can’t kill you for not letting me plan my own wedding.”

A chuckle leaves me. “I want you to be my mine in every way possible.”

“I already am.” She rolls up on her toes and kisses me soundly as I hear my brothers whistle, and their ol’ ladies cheer.

Leah pulls away from me as her father comes up and clears his throat. “Let me walk my daughter down the aisle, son.”

On a swift nod, I release Leah and make my way down to the other end of the winter wonderland where the officiant who is also marrying Cooper and Bristyl stands.

The music plays as I watch my woman come toward me. Something her father says makes tears flow down her face. She’s all in white except for my leather on her back. Bristyl wanted her to wear the white dress, but it’s not a traditional thing. It’s short and very easy to pull up so I can fuck her later. Her hair is pulled up at the sides and ringlets fall down her back. Gorgeous. Fuck, I love this woman. Mine

She makes it to me, and her father holds out his hand and shakes mine firmly. “Take care of my baby.” Tears float in his eyes.

“Always.”

Grabbing each other’s hands, we make our way up to the officiant who grins then starts to speak. I’m not paying attention to anything he’s saying. Truth be told, I’m not paying attention to anyone but the woman in front of me.

All I can think about is kissing her and slipping my wedding band on her finger. The officiant coughs, gaining my attention. “Yeah.”

“As I said, repeat after me.”

Of fuck. Chuckles are heard throughout the room. Hell, it’s not every day a man gets married. At least not me. One and done. That’s all she wrote.

I repeat the words then she does the same, but I’m not done. “I have a few words.” The officiant nods as my woman’s eyes glisten. I’m not one for talking. I’m not one for sharing all my shit with the world. Today is different. Today, Leah and I become one for the world, for life. I want her and everyone to know exactly what she means to me.

“Love you, baby. Know our time together started out rough, but we made it through the other side. Life is never easy. We’ll face challenges and be pissed at each other more times than there are days probably, but in the end, our love is our bond. Nothing can touch us as long as we’re together.” I reach for her hand and slip the solid band on her finger. “Swear to you I’ll protect you for all our days. I’ll love you and give everything I have to you, for today and every day we have forever.”

Leah’s sobs come out harsh as Bristyl hands her a Kleenex. “I wasn’t supposed to be stupid sappy, Green, but this is what you get for springing this one on me.” Her smile is sexy as hell. “I will stand by you. Love you and be the rock that you need. The hard times will help us appreciate the good. I love you.” She slips my band on my finger.

“You may kiss the bride.”
