She smiled wide.

“My hand got quite a workout.”

She laughed at that, a sound I had missed. She wasn’t focused on the pictures or notes, and she didn’t think about her family or father in this moment. Right here, right now, her body and mine were totally focused on us, and I was going to soak up every single minute.

She flipped her head to the side, trying to get the loose strands out of her face. I moaned, vibrating my body all the way to where my thick dick was penetrating her. Then her hips began to move up and down, slowly. I moved our connected hands to my chest as she rose, putting her weight on her knees. She squeezed my hands and began to use them to steady herself through each thrust.

Catarina’s movements began to increase as I started bucking my hips, filling her. She moved her feet under her and continued riding my dick. That position did it; I lost what was left of my self-control.

I held tight to her hands as my hips bucked up fast and hard, not showing any mercy. I rested my feet flat on the bed, bending my knees, and plowed into Catarina. Her pussy quivered.

“You are so fucking beautiful,” my words came out in pants as I continued to thrust into her.

Catarina threw her head back, screaming my name, her pussy gripping me so hard it took all I had to pump into her. Watching her come, my blood roared. I wrapped my arms around her body, flipping her to her back, never losing our connection, but releasing her hands.

Using every muscle in my legs, I let go and only felt. Her screams were music to my ears as thunder raged in my head. With every push of my dick inside of her, I felt my balls slapping her ass, the sound feeding my frenzy.

Catarina’s hands gripped my chest, clamping on to my pecs as her body convulsed. I couldn’t hold back; two more thrusts and I came with my girl, shooting my seed deep inside her body.

My entire body felt languid when I reluctantly pulled out and fell beside her on the bed, not wanting to crush her. I gathered her up in my arms, and we laid there quietly for long moments as I held her firmly, listening to her calm breathing.

“Guess I need to get up and face my family today.” The apprehension in her voice gripped my insides.

“I’ll do whatever I can to make all of this easier on you.” I meant every word. Her family would be pissed, but I would take as much of the brunt for her as I could. “We’ll do it together.”

“Is everyone seriously pissed?” Gauging from her solemn voice, it was a rhetorical question she just thought she needed to ask, but I answered, anyway.

“They’re not happy you kept it from them, but they do understand you thought you were protecting them. It doesn’t mean they accept that, but they mostly understand. I’m sure they have a lot to say to you, but I’ll be there every step of the way.”

Her body shivered. “As long as you all stay safe, that’s all I care about. If they want to yell at me, I’ll take that. I deserve that. The disappointment is what’s gonna kill me, but again, I’ll deal,” her voice mumbled into my chest.

As her hand moved up and down slowly, making small, swirly shapes, my body jumped, reacting to her touch.

“It’s horrible to say, but I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that everyone knows. I don’t have to hold it in. I am still scared shitless the guy will hurt them and you, though.”

“Don’t worry; I’ll find the bastard and make sure he pays.”

Chapter Seventeen

SITTING AT THE round table, all eyes were on me. I knew they wouldn’t make this easy on me, but to have this be so damn formal was another blow. For a moment, I felt like the enemy, a feeling I never wanted to have again as long as I lived.

“Catarina,” my father spoke, looking down at the table instead of me. That crushed me. “To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. You should have trusted us to take care of you. That being said…” He paused while inside I wanted to cry, run far away and hide. I was thirty years old, but his words made me feel like a petulant child. Even worse, I deserved them. “Sometimes we don’t make the best decisions when it comes to fear, and that is what you felt.” He lifted his gaze then, looking right at me. “I can see it in your eyes.”

I barely managed holding back the tears. “I’m sorry,” I whispered.

Jag, who was at my side, grabbed my hand and held it on top of the table, showing our solidarity and giving me the comfort I so desperately needed at the moment.

“We know you are, but we need to meet like this so you understand the severity of the choices you made. The threat upon us could have been neutralized months ago. And the fact that this asshole is following you means he’s not backing down. The choices you made affect us all, and you need to realize that.”

“I do, Daddy. I was just so damn scared. It paralyzed me.”

Uncle Vino spoke up. “Fear can do that to a person, but never fear someone hurting us. As long as we stick together, we can take them out before they come after us. Information is key, and what you had was the key. You can’t hide those things from us ever again.” Uncle Vino’s orders were clear even though he put them in the most comforting way, given the situation.

“I won’t hide again.” I meant every word. This wouldn’t happen again.

“Good. Now,” my dad spoke, “have you seen anyone unusual around you? Felt eyes on you?”

“That’s the thing. No, I haven’t, and for this guy to see my every move, I would have thought I’d see something.” That had baffled me from the beginning. I had always watched my surroundings and never once spotted someone out of the ordinary. Since becoming more vigilant, I had spotted Ghost several times, but never anyone lurking out of place. How the guy had gotten so close was a mystery.
