“Caleigh?” My name came out more as a question than a comment, as if he couldn’t believe it was me that his brother and alpha had his arm draped over, guiding me into the house. “Alpha?”
“Fifteen in my office. You and Niko. Send Sage in, inthirty.”
Jonas cleared his throat. “Of course.” He turned his smile to me. “Hey there, little one; howareya?”
Some of the weight left my shoulders at his words, but Luca didn’t think it so. Instead, hegrowled.
“Don’t. She’s mine.Gotit?”
Shock crossed Jonas’s features, but he masked them quickly. “Of course, Alpha.” He leaned into the house and whistled for someone. Seconds later, two guys came out, their eyes doing the same asJonas’s.
“Truck. Everything inside goes toAlpha’sroom.”
The two men paused, looking between their alphaandI.
“Now!” Jonas barked, snapping the two out of their thoughts as they left and made their way to thetruck.
Luca pulled me in through the doors and directly to his office, all the while I noticed questionable stares from the other wolves. All I could do was smile softly to them and follow as Luca pulled mealong.
He shut the door to his office and pulled me into his arms, looking down at me with fire in his eyes. A fire that reminded me of the campfires we used to have as kids when we’d sit by each other, but not too close, and he’d talk to his friends while I was with Sage. We were together, yet not. Strange how that memory justcameup.
“Do you want tokissme?”
My lips parted because, yes, yes, I did want tokisshim.
Giving a slight nod, he stared me down. “Then you kiss me without hesitation. Any time you want. Wherever we are. There is no questioning it. There is no second-guessing. You feel it, youdoit.”
“So, if I want to slap you because you’re being anasshole?”
Luca gave off the sexiest chuckle, his arms getting securely around me. “Just be prepared for me tostopyou.”
My eyes narrowed, but I really didn’t feel the slightest bit pissed. I just liked the teasing aspect we were going for here. It made me feel good, so I kept the ballrolling.
“I’d like to seeyoutry.”
Luca threw back his head and laughed, a sound I hadn’t heard since we were kids, except this was deeper and moremeaningful.
Everything inside of me warmed. I wanted tokisshim.
As soon as he brought his head back, I stood on my tiptoes and laid a powerful and deep kiss on him. His laughter died as he kissed me back, threading his hand through my hair and twisting forcefully. The bite of pain turned me on, and my core clenchedforcefully.

A loud knock came to the door, and I jumped, pulling away from Luca, who growled, his eyes narrowing onthedoor.
“You told them to come,” I whispered,remindinghim.
“That doesn’t mean I have to like getting interrupted.” He brushed his lips over mine then calledout, “In.”
Jonas and Niko strode inside, first taking in our closeness, then inhaling the scents in the room. My arousal was there on full display, for them all. There was nohidingit.
“Alpha,” they both greeted, then, “Caleigh.”
“Hi,” I called out softly to the men, giving a flick of my hand, to which Luca pulled me forcefully to him. He had this “real” thing down patalready.
“Caleigh ismymate.”
The dumbfounded looks on the men’s faces was priceless. If I weren’t in the situation I was in, I would havelaughed.
