“You let me deal with that,” Luca announced, pulling me close tohisbody.

“Are you okay?” Sage asked me, and Luca’s body went taut at the accusation. I reached out and rubbed his hand to try tocalmhim.

“Yes,perfectly.”

“Go.”

Sage looked at her brother. “You’d better not be screwing over my friend.” She didn’t give Luca a chance to respond before she marched out the door, slamming it inherwake.

“This is just goingsmashing,Luca.”

He brushed the hair away from my ear. “It will beperfect.”

My insides shivered andquivered.

ChapterSix

“The money is alreadyin your father’s account under Ivan’s name. It was done before I picked you up; therefore, no one would draw aconnection.”

I breathed out a deep breath, thankful my family was now out of debt and would be able to get back on track. All of this would be worth it to get my family back on their feet so they didn’t have toworry.

“I tossed in another fifty grandtohelp.”

“What?”

As we entered his bedroom, he pulled me into his arms, slamming the door behind us. “That was free.” Then he kissed me, long, wet, and deeply. After several moments, he pulled away, leaving me a bit off balance, unable to ask him about the extramoney.

“Welcome to your new home.” He held his arm out, and my gaze followed, taking in the expanse of the room. My hand flew to my neck. I swore there was no oxygen in thespace.

It wasincredible.

Three of the walls were painted a light blue, but as my gaze traveled the length, it somehow turned into a grayish color. It was like some kind of magic, how the color changed depending on the lighting intheroom.

A very large landscape print hung on one of the walls. It was absolutely breathtaking, with its open fields that turned into meadows, with its vast amounts of trees and a waterfall that splashed down to a pond wherefishswam.

The fourth wall was covered in stone from top to bottom with a fireplace placed center. A large television hung above, but it was the stonework that was gorgeous. Someone had to have laid each of those stonesbyhand.

In the center of one of the bluish/grayish walls was a huge bed. It was so large it had to have been custom-made. I’d never seen a mattress that large. It was dressed in a large, dark gray bedspread with lots of pillows at the top. Masculine, yet not so much so a female wouldn’t feel welcome. It’sperfect.

What stood out with the bed were the four mahogany posts that looked as if they could reach the ceiling. I stepped closer to investigate and noted carvings, hundreds of them throughout the wood. Wolves in all different shapes, sizes, and positions, along with trees of foreststhroughout.

“This is breathtaking,” I whispered, running my hand over the wood and feeling several of thegrooves.

“This bed has been passed down through the generations of my pack. Every alpha since the pack began has slept in this bed at some point when they werealpha.”

“This is just beyondwords,Luca.”

Two large dressers were against a wall, along with two nightstands on either side of the bed. Next to the fireplace were two comfy looking chairs and a coffee table. The room was simple, yet everything went together someticulously.

Luca moved his hands up my arms, and my heart quickened as he dipped his head to my ear. “You’re perfect,” he whispered, making my core clench as the heat level in the room begantorise.

He brushed his lips against my neck then moved down my shoulder, darting his tongue out and licking from my shirt all the way up to my ear. He then grazed the same path with his teeth, his beard adding to the sensations and my kneeswentweak.
