“So what, you just going to make your rounds with all the guys?” It’s a low blow and I know it, but it spews out of my lips anyway.

Her hands come out, and she pushes me hard. I don’t move, but she tries. “Yeah. That was my plan all along. Fuck all the guys at the gym. Looks like I’m well on my way.” That damn attitude she throws at me has my dick coming to attention. Fucking hell.

“Looks like it.” Fuck, I thought she was different. Thought… never fucking mind. “Have a nice night.” I turn, needing to get the fuck out of there. What the hell was I thinking? So damn stupid.

“Teo,” she says, and I stop with the sad tone of her voice and turn to her. Her face falls. She wants to say something. It’s on the tip of her tongue. When after long moments she doesn’t, I turn back around.

“Bye, Kota,” I grunt, opening the Jeep door and climbing in. Backing out, I take one more look at the house and want to pierce my fucking eyes out. Spencer with his arm around Kota. Motherfucker.

“Call Devin,” I say into my Bluetooth, and it does so immediately as I head down the road.

“What’s up, brother?” he answers. Ever since I met the man, he’s been my brother. Sure I have a biological one, but Devin is the brother who gets me, understands me. All of me.

“Need a drink. Meet me at Stingers?” Stingers is a local bar that Devin and I go to once in a while. Usually when shit is bad since we are always training and booze and lifting really don’t go hand in hand. But tonight calls for that shit.

“What’s going on?” Devin comes across as concerned.

I won’t tell him exactly what’s going down because it’s his fucking sister, but I can give him a small bite. “A woman.”

Devin chuckles. “So, just find another one. It’s not like it’s hard.” It’s not if I just want pussy. But Kota isn’t just fucking pussy. I’m tired of being labeledthatguy. The one who fucks anything and everything. Is that what’s holding her back? Fuck, I don’t even know anymore.

“Just want to drink,” I tell him, not answering him.

“Be there in ten.” He disconnects. That’s the thing about best friends, brothers. He always has my back.
