Danny pressed their lips to the glass, wishing it was Raven’s skin. “Soon, my pretty little Raven.”

Danny felt someone lurking in the shadows directly behind them and turned around to see a beautiful stranger with dark eyes hidden behind a white mask.

Another fallen angel. Danny thought, taking in the man who was looking at Danny like that’s where he would find his next fix. Danny almost felt bad for this stranger—a victim to Raven’s lies. He sought out Raven’s paradise, and once she gave him a sample, she ripped it away from him and gave him access to Lush as a consolation prize.

Raven had caused so many to fall from grace—her list of victims were endless. Each person had once led a normal life, and Raven had removed the blindfolds that kept them shackled to the mundane and showed them what awaited in the garden that wasn’t meant for them.

Danny turned back around just in time to watch the cum Detective Jax Pierce spilled being dropped into Raven’s mouth. Danny couldn’t control the growl that erupted from inside their chest. Jax was going to be a problem. He was always in the way when it came to Raven—another name on Raven’s list of victims, only Jax hadn’t seen the truth yet.

Things will end differently this time.

Danny’s body started to tremble. The mix of rage and desire became too much to just stand here and watch as Jax tried to worm his way back into Raven’s life. Danny glanced over their shoulder, “Touch me,” Danny murmured to the stranger in the white mask. “Touch me with your lips and don’t stop until I tell you to.”

The feel of the strangers lips on Danny’s neck felt wrong. It should have been Raven’s lips against Danny’s skin—Raven’s hands on Danny’s hips in a punishing grip. It should have been Raven showing Danny what true pleasure felt like.

Soon it will only be us, and then I’ll pluck your pretty little wings from your body.

Danny watched Raven climb on top of Pierce—watched how her greedy cunt welcomed Pierce in like he had every right to claim her. Danny pushed down the anger they felt, knowing what was coming. There was no need to act out of rage, everything had already been planned for.

Danny glanced around, making sure this area was secluded enough that no one would remember they were there. The lights shut off, and Danny moved quickly, pulling out a knife and spinning around to face the beautiful stranger. Danny brought the knife up and sliced the stranger right across his neck. The surprised look on the stranger’s face had given Danny the same high as a climax would.

The stranger stumbled back and Danny kicked out their feet, dropping the stranger to the ground, catching him before he hit the floor to make sure the thud sound couldn’t be heard over the concerned whispers in Lush.

Danny bent down, taking two fingers, and coating them in the stranger’s blood. Danny turned back around and wrote a little message on the glass that only Raven would understand. Danny had about two more minutes before the screaming would start, and as much as Danny wanted to sit around and watch the fear seep into Raven’s pretty golden eyes with the knowledge that she was no longer alone—that someone was watching—now wasn’t the time for the reveal. There were more games to play.

Can you see me, Raven?

Can you see what you’ve created?

There will never be rest for the wicked like you.

Surrounded in the darkness with only the sounds of their breaths around them allowed Jax to slip his mask off and let his walls come down. Her scent was clinging to his skin even though he had another’s taste on his lips—had another’s hands on his body—all he could see was his pretty little Raven. In the quiet of the darkness there had been an intimacy here—one he hadn’t expected to find. They were surrounded by strangers, but the room had fallen away the second Raven climbed on top of him and guided his cock slowly inside of her. He felt his heart unlock when her greedy walls welcomed him as if he hadn’t been a stranger to her these past five years.

We always fit. Two pieces of the same puzzle.

Jax had spoken those words against her skin early in their relationship because he believed they were true. They were the complete opposites—Raven the chaotic storm that liked to uproot everything to clear a path for the new, and him with his stuffy and strict view on life. Jax had lived in the black and white while Raven danced in the grey, but they had worked until he tried to clip her wings and he denied what she thought was true about him because he didn’t know how to live in the grey.

His cock twitched inside of her—answering the poetic rhythm of her pussy, beckoning to claim her once more, but a woman’s screams had interrupted the moment, ripping him from his need to fuck Raven into oblivion. His cop instincts had quickly kicked in, and he glanced in the direction of the scream, but thanks to the darkness, he really had no clue where the sound had come from or what had caused it.

“Rave,” he tapped her hip to get her to move because the longer he stayed inside her, the easier it was going to be to forget there actually might be a serious situation and fuck her until he could feel her cum drip down his dick.

He felt something hit his hand and shoulders. It felt silky and cool and maybe a little wet. Jax couldn’t tell what it was in the darkness, but he heard the murmurs and a couple of shocked gasps from the people in the room. The dungeon masters had urged everyone to stay calm and remain where they were until the lights had come back on, and from what Jax could tell, no one moved, except for Raven.

Her body shook on top of his. “Raven?” He wrapped her up in his arms, pulling her further into him. He cradled her head into his shoulder as more of the silky wet stuff seemed to fall from what Jax assumed was the ceiling.

He left his hand out and once he felt something in the middle of his palm, he moved it up toward his fingertips, and brought it to his nose. He inhaled; the scent of sex and Raven clogged his nostrils, but there was something else there. It was faint—he would have bypassed it completely if he wasn’t looking for a smell on his fingertips.

“It’s b—” Raven mumbled into his neck, and when she pulled back her shaking only increased. “I think it’s fake blood,” she whispered. “White rose petals dipped in blood.”

Raven was exhausted and she couldn’t shake the feeling like she was being watched—partly because she was. Jax hadn’t taken his eyes off of her as he resumed detective duty to talk to the officers that had barreled into Lush asking questions and showing their disdain. Those who didn’t understand Lush or the lifestyle these people played in always turned their nose up or spat in the faces of people like Raven. It made no sense why they cared so much who someone else was fucking, but that was the way of people.

Jax had stopped talking to a cop and stalked over to where she sat with her knees in her chest. She felt exposed here, in her sanctuary. This place she should have been where she felt the safest and freest, and now someone was trying to take that away from her.

“Hey,” he whispered before he squatted in front of her.

She eyed him curiously, wondering which version of Jax she was going to get now that the lights had come on and everyone could see him. He slid into his role as a detective with ease, commanding Lush as if he were the owner, and she was grateful for it at that moment. Her initial shock at the white petals falling from the vents had freaked her out—this wasn’t the first time she received white roses dosed in fake blood, and as she stared at Jax’s dark eyes, she wondered how much she should tell him.

Was this just a random coincidence, or was this the start of something Raven couldn’t outrun?
