He just smiles and inserts the tampon into my pussy, pushing it up gently with this middle finger until I give him a nod that’s it where it should be.

“You’re crazy,” I murmur when he doesn’t remove his finger.

“Blood doesn’t bother me. If anything, it turns me on.” His blue eyes have gone a stormy shade that would make me want to jump him if I didn’t have my period, because no.

“But this is…”

He shakes his head and leans in closer. “Blood is blood, and one day you will let me sink my cock into you during this time, and I will fuck you hard while you coat me with it.”

“Jesus,” I pant. “Fuck off with that.”

He removes his finger and steps back, turning to wash his hands before he flushes the toilet on his way. “See you downstairs, little killer.”

“Not down the loo!” I whine, but then throw my head back as I groan with longing and something that feels like embarrassment, I take my foot off the toilet seat and turn to the shower to turn it on, stepping under it even though the water hasn’t heated up yet. I need the arctic blast to cool me down.

“Fucker,” I murmur. “Could you be any more perfect?”

Showering and dressing quickly, I head downstairs about ten minutes later, dressed to kick serious ass in black leather pants, heavy black biker boots, a long-sleeved black tee and my black leather jacket. My hair is scooped up in a messy bun, and Flick is nestled in her holster at my back.

“Oh good, you’re ready,” Imogen says, looking up from her cup of tea. “Word is, they’re here already.”

“And you lot are just sitting around drinking tea?”

“Figured we’d give them a surprise,” Tarquin says, grinning at me with an intensity that borders on psycho.

“Oh, I see. Make them think they’ve got the upper hand…”

“And then the enforcers come in,” Imogen says.

“Well, let’s fucking go then,” I state and turn on my heel to the door.

We all pile out while I avoid Raph’s eyes after the bathroom incident and grab Oliver’s hand to give it a quick kiss. He smiles as James kisses the top of my head.

“We’ve got this.”

“That’s too right,” Oliver says. “I’m ready to put these maniacs in their place.”

“Maniacs?” I laugh loudly. “Can’t argue with that assessment.” It’s not just about territory; it’s personal. They want to take over from Castle as the next gen’s playground; they’re going to have to go through me and my Kings.

Blackbriar’s infamy for bad boys and tough girls doesn’t scare me. But it does piss me off that they’ve got the nerve to bring their fight to our doorstep.

“Time to show them what we’re made of,” James says with a grim set to his jaw, cracking his knuckles.

“Let’s end this quick,” Raph adds, twirling his blade between his fingers. “Give them no reason to drag this out.”

Tarq nods, eyes cold and steady, while Oliver flips open a switchblade with a flick of his wrist. We move as one, a force to be reckoned with, and I can feel the adrenaline coursing through me, sharp as the blade in Oliver’s hand.

Imogen pulls out two wicked curved blades from behind her back and spins them in her hands. “Let’s do this.”

ELIZA

By the timewe reach the campus, it’s like a war zone. The green lawns of Castle University are trampled underfoot by boots and blood. Screams slice the air, mixed with the grunts and shouts of fighting bodies. I see the Blackbriar crew as they meet our guys in full combat mode.

“Fuck!” I roar and surge forward, not letting these arrogant pricks stomp all over my turf.

“Eliza!” Tarq yells over the brawling, pointing at a group that’s making a beeline for the main building.
