I gulp.

That is a threat worse than death for Finn, and he knows it.

His eyes go hard. He steadily pushes Archer’s hand away from his chest. “I didn’t touch her.”

Archer hisses, but Finn walks away, not interested in anything else we have to say about the matter. I’m concerned with Bailey, though, not Finn. They should never have been alone together. Not yet, anyway.

Without a word, I turn, ready to walk away, but Archer stops me. “Where the fuck are you going?”

I face him, trying to hold onto the worry that Finn fucked with Bailey somehow. I jab my finger at the top left corner of the elevator. “To seeexactlywhat happened in here.”

Archer looks where I’m pointing and then back to me. “You have eyes in here? I meanyours?”

“Obviously,” I sneer. “Wherever Bailey is, I’m watching.”

His eyes narrow. “Wherever?”

I hold that unwavering gaze. I’m not telling him about having eyes and ears in her apartment. He will muscle in what I feel asmytime with her.

“Everywhere in this building where she works. You know there are certain people here who would love to see her fail.”

He searches my eyes. I can tell he is struggling to believe me, but he has nothing specific to accuse me of, so he lets it go. “Audio?” he clips out.

“Of course,” I sneer. “This isn’t amateur hour.”

“I want to see every second of that video. Twice,” he grits out and shoves past me.

So do I.

I end up following Archer into my office, wondering if he will put two and two together that I’ve also hacked into Bailey’s webcam at her desk. I don’t get much time to deliberate over this as he taps his foot impatiently, waiting for me to fire up my laptop. I’m careful to keep my private viewing separate, knowing this day would come when he’d want to see work-related spying. I lean over my desk and tap into the appropriate folder.

“Is that a new laptop?” he asks, peering at it suspiciously.

“Yeah, the other one broke.”

“Humph.”

I press my lips together so I don’t laugh. He can be pretty frugal sometimes, but other times is as extravagant as they come. I know he won’t spare any expense when it comes to making sure Bailey is taken care of. He has already picked out a penthouse apartment in the city's most exclusive building for her to reside in once she accepts who she is to us and Solitaire.

We both stare at the screen and watch as Bailey climbs on board. Then we watch the most bizarre scene play out in front of us. I’m shocked. Archer huffs in disbelief to see Finn on his knees, undressing Bailey.

“I’m going to fucking kill him,” he mutters, but we both know it’s an empty threat.

Then we freeze.

His words to her are exquisite and profound, and sheunderstandshim.

“Well, fuck,” I breathe out when we see her hold her hand up to his face.

“Oh, he’s good,” Archer growls.

“He’s being real with her. I’m, I actually have no words.”

“Same.”

I can see he knows it isn’t an act with Finn. We are fully aware of his sexual predispositions, but that he was so raw and real with Bailey has left us both floored. Even more so when we see her stripping off for him.

“Jesus,” Archer mutters, rubbing his hand over his face. “She is just fine.”
