I can’t comment, even though I agree. My eyes are practically bulging out of their sockets at the size of his knot. Instead, I drag his head closer to mine and bite down with aplomb, mating with him beautifully and eternally.
I release him quickly, gasping for breath and offer up my neck. He bites down on the same side as Cain and Atlas, trying to avoid their bites as much as possible.
“I’m so happy,” I rasp when he releases me. “Our perfect little family. Our baby is so lucky to have all of you.”
“We love you, baby girl,” Carter murmurs, brushing my hair out of my face when I turn to him. “We will spend the rest of our lives loving you, our babies and each other.”
I smile up at him, knowing that this is only the beginning of a bright, fantastic future.
Epilogue
Sugar
Three Years Later
“No,” I say firmly, shaking my head at the woman pointing at the small screen in front of me. “No, nope, not happening. Look again.”
“Sugar,” Cain murmurs in my ear. “We are having triplets.”
“No!” I roar panic setting in. I reach for my inhaler, gasping for breath. “No!” I wheeze, taking a puff. “I already have triplets. I already have tripletomegas.” I growl and grab Cain’s t-shirt, pulling him towards me. “I can’t do that again. No, we cannot have another set of triplets! No! No! Look again, please!” I implore her, but she just smiles serenely, probably thinking, thank fuck, it’s not me.
Nico steps forward when my panicking doesn’t abate. He takes the inhaler from me and helps me out, staying calm and stoic which is his way and why I love him.
“Sugar baby,” Cain says, looking to Carter for assistance, although what he expects him to do is anyone’s guess. He may be shit hot, sexy and rich, but he can’t make three babies disappear.
That’s when it hits me so hard that I need to take another puff on my inhaler. I don’t want them to disappear. I want them so badly, my heart aches to think of them not here with me.
“Triplets,” I say with a laugh, but I’m not hysterical this time. “Oh, my God, we’re having triplets!”
“Yep. Definitely triplets and definitely mine. I was the only one to mate with you during your last heat, so fuck all of you arseholes.” He grins smugly at the other alphas. “You snooze, you lose.”
I giggle and kiss him, letting go of his tee and sitting back to take in the enormity of this endeavour. My three little girls are a handful that needs constant attention. Luckily, they have six parents who dote on them and worship the ground they walk on. Even though business sometimes takes some of them far away, there is always more than enough of us to ensure their security and safety.
“Knock-knock.” My mother enters the room without being bid entry.
“You know there should only be one other person in here with you,” the sonographer complains to me.
“Sorry,” I murmur, knowing it’s pointless.
“Well?” Mum asks eagerly.
“Triplets!” Cain replies gleefully.
“Oh! Oh!” She cries, clapping her hands. “Oh, that’s adorable.”
“Yeah, easy for you to say,” I grumble. “Like it’s not hard enough running the Quinn pack since you and Daddy decided to retire, now I have triplets times two to take care of.”
“Delegate to your brothers,” she says, waving her hand dismissively. “That is what they’re there for.”
“Humph.” My three brothers are supportive, but deep down, I know they aren’t happy Daddy gave me the pack. I don’t blame them. “Actually, I was going to ask Enzo if they could go and work for him…”
I leave that hanging there, and the room goes silent.
“Back to your babies,” the sonographer says, clearing her throat.
“Sorry! Yes, babies.”
“Everything looks good here,” she says. “Come back in a couple of weeks so we can check your progress.”
