His nostrils flare.
His eyes darken.
The expression on his face terrifies me.
He grips my upper arms. “You,” he growls.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know you,” I stammer and pull my arms back, stumbling backwards.
I crash into another alpha who has snuck up behind me.
“Get off me!” I hiss when he grips my shoulders.
He is hot, really hot, with his hazel eyes. To be fair, they both are but what the fuck?
They are pawing at me as if I’m some sort of toy.
“It’s her,” Hazel eyes says, breathing in deeply.
My alarm bells ring.
Pete must’ve sent them.
“No!” I shout, trying to make a scene so someone will help me.
No one does.
They are all oblivious, going about their days, not even looking in my direction.
I have to save myself.
Panic setting in, making my heart hammer, I hear them growl. They know what I am, and I don’t mean a sitting duck to their advances.
An unmated omega.
I duck out of Hazel eye’s grip and run. I don’t care where I’m going now, I just know I have to get away from them, sore ankle or not.
“You can’t outrun us, Strawberries,” Blue eyes calls after me.
Panting, scared out of my wits, I look back to see them following me and two more have joined them.
They are coming after me like predators and I’m their prey.
They are hunting me.

I surge forward.
There is no way on this green earth I’m allowing her to escape. We have searched forthreemonths, non-stop. The one fucking day we take off to visit the Inter-pack parliament in Hertfordshire by train, we find her…
And let her go.
We never travel by train. We have drivers or drive. This was a last-minute decision when the Range Rover broke down.
Fate?
