Why was I not surprised Avery was still awake? Sometimes I wondered if she’d somehow figured out how to survive on books and coffee alone.

Lucy, I booked it while you were dealing with the whole Finn situation. (Which clearly worked out for the better! [Winky face emoji]) Trust me, I’ve learned my lesson and will not be booking my own accommodations in the future.
Also, it was too dark to see him clearly, but I’m pretty sure he looked like Fabio and a lumberjack had a baby.
Poppy:
Oh, please don’t tell me he’s a Capricorn or a Scorpio!
Lucy:
So... he IS cute *eyebrows wiggling*
I snorted. Leave it to Lucy to find the romance in the situation. As a romantasy writer, I tended to see relationship potential in a variety of situations, but Lucy took that skill to a whole new level.
Lucy:
But also, say the word and we’ll get you a new place. Between me and Avery, we can get it done in a heartbeat, I’m sure.
Dani:
Thanks for being willing to come to my rescue! I’m too tired to even consider alternative accommodations, but I’ll let you know if I change my mind in the morning.
By the way, it’s late here in Oregon. Do I even want to know what y’all are doing up at this hour in Utah? *raised eyebrow*
I leaned against the wall, my exhaustion hitting me hard but not feeling quite ready to end the exchange yet. It was nice tohave the cousins here with me in a sense. It made the duplex feel a bit more homey.
Poppy:
I’ve got a test tomorrow. Why do I need to know about supply chain logistics, bottleneck analysis, and lean systems???
Lucy:

This travel back and forth from Canada has my internal clock screwed up.
