“Where did you have in mind?”

He thinks for a moment. “I bet Willie’s missing me.”

I laugh, pulling up to look at him. “I thought you said that place was more like date number five.”

He smiles, his fingers gently playing with a strand of hair behind my back. “This feels more like a fifth date.”

“Yeah?”

“Mm-hm.” He smiles.

“Wow,” I say. “I can’t believe you haven’t put out yet.”

He lets out a surprised laugh before slipping his hand in mine again and pulling me up with him.

“Come on, baby girl.”

IF I KEPT UP WITH MY CHILDHOOD DIARY ALL THESE YEARS, TODAY'S ENTRY WOULD SIMPLY READ: DOT, DOT, DOT...

At the bar, when we told Willie about what we did on our date, he banned us from drinking anything other than water to“wash out the sugar”— his words. He then refused to give us fries and forced us to have salad with our chicken wings.

I always knew he gave me a Luke Danes vibe, and I was proven so right today.

It was definitely for the best, because now that we’re on our way back home, I don’t feel bloated or gross anymore, which is ideal for what I’m banking on happening right about now.

“That was a really fun date,” I say.

Lou squeezes my hand in his, still not being able to walk anywhere without me attached to him. I love it.

“It was.” He says.

He stops us in the middle of the path a few feet away from our lodge, and kisses me softly.

“Will you invite me inside again?” He whispers against my lips.

“Only if you beg,” I smirk, lacing my arms around his neck.

“I can beg…” He starts. “Or I can get on my knees for a different reason.” He kisses me gently again.

I swear I almost moan.

“Do you want to come inside?” I whisper.

He kisses me again, this time the pressure intensifying.

He pulls away, grinning. “Or maybe I shouldn’t.”

“Ugh.” I huff, rolling my eyes at him as I unlace myself from around him and walk towards my front door.

I can hear his laugh behind me before he jogs to catch up. “I’m kidding, I’m kidding, I’m kidding.”

He scoops my back up against his front, his lips finding my neck as he nips at my skin.

I squeal before I pull away and turn around to lean against the door. “You’re so annoying, you know that right?” I fight the smile on my lips.

“I know, baby girl.” He grins.
