Well, maybe he does. A little.

His full lips curve, chin tilting slightly when he recognizes he finally got to me.

And, it’s ridiculous, but I treasure his minuscule smile as if it’s gold even while I’m hating it.

I don’t care if he likes me. Or if he is pleased or bemused by me.

I certainly shouldn’t care if he thinks I’m attractive.

Whatever. I’ve become the world’s biggest liar since walking through his office doors.

“We’re doing this.” Sawyer grins. “Now, show him what you can do, Allie. Flynn won’t believe it unless he’s seeing it with his own eyes.”

“I’m not a trick pony,” I grit out. “But if you need proof…”

“Alright, I’ll bite.” Flynn’s rough voice chases a shiver up my spine. The depths of his eyes light up as he deliberately twists his words into something salacious. “Show me your special talents, Darling. And welcome to Devil’s Gold Whiskey.”
