Aiden’s eyes were still on my lips, flashing with heat when I chewed my bottom lip nervously. Hearing Wyatt’s name on Aiden’s mouth was weird as fuck, like two worlds were colliding.
Sometime during this date, I’d made up my mind about Wyatt, though. He didn’t want me. Aiden did. Player or not, Aiden was showing me he could be different, and that was more than Wyatt had done. I lurched forward before I could change my mind.
I pushed Aiden back against the brick wall to the dormitory a little forcefully, and he let out a startled laugh as my lips landed on his. He froze only for a moment before he groaned, then his lips moved along with mine. His hands rested politely on my hips, sliding around to my lower back to pull me closer.
Within seconds, Aiden took control of the kiss, slanting his lips across mine over and over again, his tongue prodding against mine playfully, a bitskillfully, for someone who supposedly didn’t kiss, before we slowly pulled apart.
“Fuck,” Aiden groaned, resting his forehead against mine.
“Why’d you stop?” I whispered, still close enough that we were breathing each other’s air while we panted. My hands had somehow ended up around his neck, my fingers tangled in the curls at the nape of his neck, and I tried to think about anything other than pulling him back down to me.
“Trying to be a gentleman?” He sounded uncertain, and I giggledbefore kissing him again quickly, then rubbing my nose against his. “Fuck, you’re making it hard to leave.”
“That the only thing that’s hard?” I whispered, knowing that statement would drive him crazy.
Aiden let out another pained groan before he pressed his hips into me as best he could without moving away from the wall. Heat spread through me from where his hardness met my stomach. “You know it’s not,” he replied, his voice deep and husky. He leaned into me, speaking right into my ear, “Don’t let me go up with you.”
“Why? You’ll never leave? You’ll show up at all hours of the night? You’ll fight with Willow?” I teased back in a breathless whisper.
Aiden chuckled, the sound sending all the hair on the back of my neck into the air. “No, Skye. If I go up there right now, I’ll fuck you so hard you’ll forget your last name.”
Holy. Fuck.
I breathed out a shocked laugh. Aiden gave me a wicked grin in return before he pressed his lips back to mine, quickly. Still stunned, I only shivered as he moved out from between me and the wall.
“Maybe next time,” I said hoarsely as Aiden straightened his hoodie. A wide grin split his face before he pulled me into a tight hug.
“Maybe. We’ll do this again?” he asked hesitantly. “The date part, not the…well, I mean, yeah, I’d like to kiss you again, but mainly I’m asking about the date–”
I snorted, raising my fingers to cover his lips and stop his babbling.
“Definitely, Aiden. To both.”
Aiden kissed my fingers before reluctantly pulling away. He walked away slowly, first backward so he could watch me, then finally turning when he stumbled over a crack in the cobblestone steps.
I giggled as I watched him before I sighed like a fucking lovesick school girl, then tensed as I felt my shadow looming close by.
My eyes went to the copse of trees, unlit from the street lamps. I licked my lips, still tasting Aiden on my tongue and smiling softly to myself.
Hopefully my shadow had enjoyed the show.
Chapter 15
Rafe
I foundmyself at the Western Testing Center, where Skye Aria had both her Link-testing and affinity exam done before starting at the academy.
After a very confusing hard-on greeted me from watching Skye manhandle Brandt after their…date…I’d decided I needed answers. That, mixed with her results still being fucked on Craig’s computer had me on edge.
My heart had been sinking steadily as the weeks went by. I’d never been this interested in a single person before. The more I watched her, the more I…wanted her.
And it wasn’t just asimplewant, either. No, I wanted to knoweverythingabout her. Then I wanted to meet her, and then I wanted her to never want for anything ever again. I wanted to provide anything and everything she needed. I wanted her to only know me, and depend on me, and craveme.
Obsession wasn’t a strong enough word to describe what I was beginning to feel for her. And now that I knew she had some juicy secrets? I almost groaned.
But I didn’t. Instead, I spoke to the dinosaur that stared at me like I was barely worthy enough to keep his interest.
“Mr. Sombra, this is quite the surprise. To what do I owe this visit?” Vince Schafer asked.
