“Skye,” I panted her name as she rocked back and forth on me, hating and loving how she seemed to ignore me and chase her own pleasure. “Skye, baby, please.”
Skye laughed, then finally raised her hips just enough to give me some friction. I growled like a damn animal and she laughed again, gripping my shoulders before she began to ride me faster. Then harder. Then I couldn’t fucking breathe, it felt so good.
I’d never felt closer to anyone than I did in these perfect moments. Skye’s flushed face, her sweaty hairline, pink cheeks. She was a goddess on top of me, and I didn’t want to change a thing. She could have grinded on me for hours, never letting me reach my climax and I would have thanked her the moment she jumped off.
Skye’s moans grew louder and I shifted my hips slightly, allowing myself to reach a new spot inside her that had her next moan coming out more like a scream.
“Aiden,” she gasped.
“Please, Skye.” I begged. Please let me fucking move.
“Yes,” she moaned, “More.”
I can do that.
I banded my arms around her, then leaned back until I lay flat on my back. I planted both my feet on the ground, then slammed up into her with such force, I almost thought I’d hurt her.
Skye yelped but tightened her grip around my neck, her nails cutting into my skin as she begged me for more. I gave her everything I had, slamming our hips together as hard and fast as I could manage while ignoring the burn of the carpet across my back.
Skye screamed, her perfect body tightening around me while a shockwave of pleasure rolled down my spine. Even after I’d spilled into her, I continued rocking my hips slightly, enjoying the jolt of almost-pain that it gave my sensitive dick to keep going.
“Aiden,” Skye whimpered. Our lips found each other through her nest of hair, hanging around us like a curtain. “Aiden, you’re perfect.”
My heart swelled. When she said it with such conviction…I almost believed it.
Chapter 40
Skye
Jesus,Skyes. Are we sure you don’t have an affinity for pre-cognition?Zephyr asked.
I managed not to sniffle. I’d just explained the Royal situation to my brother, and as always, he took it perfectly. We’d debriefed about Alexander and his connection to us via the massacre, then pondered what the fuck it all meant.
Don’t be silly. What are the fucking odds he was at the massacre, though?I said.It just…I don’t like it. I don’t believe in coincidences.
Me either,Zephyr replied, which was unsurprising. My brother and I were both firmly in the boat offuck superstitious bullshit. Our lives had been fucked since we were kids. There was no reason to believe in fate when it had wronged us so cruelly.
I have news,Zephyr said after allowing me a minute to gather myself. The last thing I needed was to cry in the middle of the library.
What’s that?I asked.
He moved today,Zephyr told me. Even through our minds, I could hear his smile. My healing is improving, I think.
That’s amazing news!I replied, warmth spreading through me quickly. We’d been secretly trying to improve Zephyr’s healing affinityfor years. Healing was an unheard of affinity in modern times, and as a result, impossible to find information on. Hence why I was in the library, pouring over another dusty, old book.
And getting absolutely nowhere.
I stared down at the latest book I’d been reading over, projecting the page to Zephyr and frowning at what I read. I’d considered asking Dani for some help with my research, but I wasn’t sure how to go about it. Sure, she’d told me to come to her if I needed something, but…she meanthealthrelated things…I was pretty sure.
Healing is health related,Zephyr said dryly.
I snorted.Sorry you had to hear that.
Not all of it, just the wallowing part. Anyway, look at the book again. I wasn’t done reading.
I rolled my eyes dramatically, holding in a laugh when Zephyr fake-gagged, then focused back on the book in front of me.
Reports of Healers capable of healing life-threatening injuries dated back to medieval times, and the last such was unnamed, supposedly passing during the last Telekinetic Inquisition.
