“Okay, baby. Just keep me in the loop, you know. I can share. We can make a schedule. Maybe I can take precedence, you know. Since I’m your favorite.”

“Are you my favorite?” I asked playfully.

Aiden’s jaw dropped. “Yeah? Aren’t I a good boy for you?”

I smiled. “You’re thebest. Definitely my favorite.”

Aiden bit his lip, then turned back to the window sill, where he rearranged Mia’s plants to hide the victim of his clumsiness.

I laughed again while Aiden chuckled behind me. I almost shivered at the thought of Landon being interested in me, and not in a good way. I didn’t know what to think of his change in attitude, but I didn’t hate him. In fact, I could probably use this new friendship to my advantage. Landon was older, and a graduate student. He could access parts of the library I didn’t have access to.

I eventually closed my laptop, checking the time. I had a class coming up and Aiden had a counseling session soon, I just wasn’t sure what time.

“What are these?” Aiden asked.

I turned back and smiled softly. “My nighttime earbuds. I used to sleep with them in.”

Aiden nodded solemnly. “I knew Willow snored.”

I laughed then shook my head. “She’d kill you if she knew you said that. I listen to ambient sounds sometimes, it helps keep me from dreaming.”

“Dreaming or…” Aiden glanced up at me, his eyes rounded with concern.

“Nightmares,” I shrugged. “I’ve had more since I started here, soZephyr suggested maybe it’s because there’s no crashing waves outside. But I haven’t really needed it sincesomeonestarted sleeping over all the time.”

Aiden gifted me with one of his beautiful smiles before he sat down on my bed. “Zephyr’s your brother?” he asked.

I nodded, then stood up and stretched.

“Enough about me,” I said. “We have shit to do today, still.”

“Hold on, I have to do my daily post.” Aiden said, holding his camera up toward me.

I laughed, throwing my hand out to cover the camera but I was too late. The resulting picture was me smiling while holding out my hand like I was being chased by the paparazzi. I looked…really pretty, actually.

“Hell yeah,” Aiden said, his thumbs tapping out some witty caption.

Aiden posted the picture while I laughed. I pulled him to me and he met my excitement with his own. We kissed, and then I laughed against his lips as he hunched down and lifted me before tossing me onto my bed. He liked doing that, I was learning. Throwing me around.

“You should start putting me in your daily post. Let everyone know I’m yours.” Aiden said as he climbed onto the bed next to me.

“Maybe I will,” I said a little breathlessly.

Aiden beamed again before kissing my cheek, then my neck, then trailed down my collarbone.

“Aiden, I have class.” I protested, even though I squirmed under him.

“Mm. Don’t care.” Aiden mumbled against my breast. He nuzzled me through the fabric, and I laughed softly.

“You have counseling.” I said, clenching my thighs around nothing.

“I’ll still make it,” he countered, pulling down the collar of my sweater so he could kiss my breast.

“Oh, really? You think you can finish that fast?” I challenged.

Aiden paused, his eyes flashing up to me. My breath caught. Aiden was…so beautiful. His warm brown eyes almost glowed in the afternoon light that came through the window.

“This isn’t about me,” he said, his eyes narrowed. “I can make you come quick, baby, you don’t have to get me off.”
