“What was that, honey?” Aiden asked.
I turned in his arms and raised my eyebrows, not surprised in the least to see the murderous look on his face as he watched Landon disappear.
“Honey?” I questioned
Aiden pursed his lips, looking back to me. “Yeah, that doesn’t sound right.”
“Why are you trying to find a nickname for me? You already call me something special.” I teased, taking his hand as we began to walk.
Aiden’s eyes widened slightly before darting around. “You want me to call you that…inpublic?” he whispered.
“No,” I replied through a laugh. “No, if anyone ever hears you talk to me that way, I’ll kill them.”
Aiden’s expression changed from shocked amusement to something really…heated.
The thought evaporated in my mind as the air left my lungs. Aiden suddenly shoved me back into the wall almost too hard, and I sucked in a breath as his hands cupped my face. His fiery eyes darted back and forth between mine, and my gaze quickly dropped to his beautiful mouth.
“That was quite the declaration,” he whispered.
“I was serious.” I breathed.
Aiden dropped his forehead to mine, breathing heavily for a moment.
“What are you doing tonight?” he asked.
“You,” I replied.
Aiden threw his head back and laughed loud enough to draw the attention of students passing by. I ignored the urge to wince. They could barely see me, anyway. Aiden’s body was completely covering mine.
Aiden’s hands flexed on my cheeks and when he met my gaze again, he flashed me the most breathtaking smile I’d ever seen. My heart jumped wildly in my chest, threatening to bruise my ribs.
Aiden kissed me soundly, teasing his tongue into my mouth softly, and I completely melted against the wall until a throat cleared nearby.Aiden was slow to retreat, still giving me teasing kisses and licks that had me really melted into a puddle.
I mean, holy shit. Could he be any hotter?
Aiden sighed dramatically. “Hello, Willow.”
“Oh, hey, Aiden. I was looking for Skye.” Willow replied brightly.
“Hi, Will.” I said with an eye-roll. Aiden hadn’t moved away from me, his hips still pressed against my stomach, pinning me to the wall.
“Oh, hey Skye! I didn’t see you there under all that man.” Willow said with a grin. “Tell your boyfriend to take a hike, I get you for lunch today.”
“He’s not–” I cut myself off, not wanting to upset Aiden but also not ready to tell everyone we were in a Chain. I looked at Aiden, who watched me carefully, like he was worried what I’d say. I cleared my throat. “Come to mine tonight?”
Aiden shot a side-eye toward Willow who sighed dramatically. “Fine!” she cried.
“Sure, pookie.” Aiden replied, kissing my nose softly.
“Oh, God.” I grimaced. “Not that one.”
Aiden only beamed at me as he walked away.
“There you are,”Mia called out with a grin. I rolled my eyes as I slid into my usual seat across from my two besties. Willow kissed her Link for a bit too long, and Mia’s cheeks were bright red when she pulled away. “What was that for?” Mia asked a little breathlessly.
“What can I say? Seeing Skye pinned to the wall by Aiden did something to me.”
I choked on my soda. It burned up the back of my throat, almost going into my nose. Willow cackled as I coughed and wiped at my mouth.
