“Good. Then give me all those pretty noises, Buttercup,” he said, squeezing tighter. His thrusts were hard, fast, and unrelenting. Each one sending a shockwave of pleasure throughout my body. I couldn’t keep my mouth shut, moans falling freely from my lips.

“That’s it, Buttercup. Now, sing for me,” he said.

And I did.

The orgasm was powerful, intense, and nearly incapacitating. I moaned his name into the air, my vision turning white. He didn’t stop, his hands on me, holding me steady as he continued to pound into me. I screamed his name as I came again, my voice raw.

“Fuck,” he growled, slamming into me one last time as he released his own climax, his movements jerky and harsh as he filled me up.

Carter was panting, sweat covering him from the exertion. He collapsed on top of me, staying there for a few moments, his weight comforting as I recovered.

Eventually he moved, untying the ropes that bound me, rubbing the tender spots and kissing them.

“So what did you think?”he asked when we reached the end of the drive. After a few minutes of resting and then another shower, we headed out the door. We had picked the diner for dinner. He triple-checked that I was okay with it, saying he would gladly take me into Macon for a fancier restaurant. I politely declined.

“About?” I asked back, unsure what he meant.

“About the scene today.”

“Scene?” I was confused.

“Yeah. You know; me tyin’ you up and edgin’ you ‘til you were beggin’ for my dick like a good little fuck toy.”

“Carter!” I squealed, slapping his arm playfully. He laughed. After I was sure my voice wouldn’t falter—since his words had me immediately wet again—I said, “I loved it.” He looked over for a split second before his eyes went back to the road.

“Yeah? It wasn’t too much, too soon?”

“No. It wasincredible.” He let out a deep chuckle.

“Would you be opposed to tryin’… more?”

“I would love to try more with you, Mister Black.” And because I was a brat and wanted to get him back for turning me on mere minutes before, I added, “Maybe we can let Tyler come over and you guys can tag team me, too.”

“If he—or anyone else, for that matter—comes anywhere near you, I will gut him.”

“Youwerejealous the other night!” I said, trying not to smile. “Carter, we’re not even… I don’t even know what we are, what I am to you.”

“You aremine. That’s what you are. Isn’t that what you told me earlier?” My cheeks heated. He was right. I was his and I knew it.

“Yeah, but… are we…?”

“Goin’ steady?” How was it possible for him to be even more adorable?

“Yes.” My voice was so little, afraid he would laugh at me.

And then he asked six words that made me swoon. “Emogen, will you be my girl?”

“Yes.”

“Good.”

It wasn’t long before we pulled up to the diner, Carter coming to open my door for me as always. I still hadn’t stopped smiling and neither had he.

Once we were seated, an older woman walked over to us, handing us menus. Not that we needed them.

“Carter, it’s wonderful to see you, honey.”

“Same to ya, Miss Lettie.”
