“Who the hell would I even ask for help with this?” She sniffled against my shoulder. “You’re both mad at me—”
“I’m not mad at you.” I stopped her right there and held her shoulders, pushing her back enough so that she had to look me in the eyes. “Not at all. You were overwhelmed. I get that.”
Her eyes flickered to Mal, looking for the same reassurance.
Instead, his jaw tightened, and he growled, “You’re right about one thing, Jenny. Iammad at you.”
CHAPTER 13
Jenny
Igulped and tried not to cry more, but tears burned my eyes and a sniffle escaped me anyway.
Mal’s handsome face shifted from anger to something I could not pin down. He paused and stepped toward me. “I am mad at you for thinking I couldn’t handle this. Thatwe,” he gestured to Tiger, then himself, “couldn’t handle this with you. You are not alone, Jenny. We are in this together.”
I loved what I was hearing, but there was too much noise in my head for it to sink in. “You…you want to help me?”
“I am hurt that you would think otherwise.” He met my gaze. “Considering who I am and my close proximity to Justice, you had a lot to lose by telling me all of that. I understand.”
I broke from Tiger’s embrace and wrapped my arms around Mal, who held me in return. “I’m sorry I hurt you, and I am so glad you want to help.”
He stroked my back, long sweeps down my spine, slow and soothing—and unexpectedly arousing. It sent shivers to my tail, and I wasn’t prepared for that.
“I will always help you, Jenny,” he said gruffly. “And you, too, Tiger.”
Soon, Tiger pressed himself against me from behind and held onto us. He murmured into my hair, “I want this. Exactly this.”
I fidgeted between them until they let me out. “What do you mean?”
He hesitated, as if choosing his words carefully. “I don’t want anyone else. Just the three of us.This, our little unit. This is what I want. I don’t know if that’s what you two want, but—”
“Yes, I do,” Mal said with a nod. “On Credo’s island, I realized it. Two people there were throwing themselves at me, and I had no real desire to pursue it for the first time in my life. I had thought, perhaps, you two broke me, but I didn’t care. That’s when I knew I don’t want anyone else. Just you two.”
I loved hearing that from them. Their eyes were expectant and hopeful as they turned to me. I slowly smiled and nodded. “I don’t want anyone else, either. I don’t know what the future is going to bring, but there’s no one else for me. I know what we have is not conventional, and I don’t care. I want the three of us. Together.”
“And if we broke you,” Tiger grinned at Mal, “then you broke us, too.”
“You’re not broken.” He hooked his hand behind Tiger’s neck and pulled him down for a steamy kiss that set me on fire. “You’re my boyfriend,” he murmured against his lips. “And I try very hard not to break my toys.”
Desire surged through me, and I turned on my heel and sashayed from the cockpit toward my quarters, twitching my tail and making sure they noticed. They did. When I reached the threshold to my room, I paused, deliberately tossing a sultryglance over my shoulder and curled my finger in a come-hither motion. Then I slipped inside, peeled out of my suit, and crawled naked onto the bed and waited for them to join me.
My room felt more like a luxury retreat than part of a stealth ship. Polished floors gleamed beneath soothing lavender walls, while the lighting automatically dimmed to something low and seductive as I settled in. The bed dominated the room—massive, decadent, the sheets crisp and white. The round upholstered headboard was like a cloud against the backdrop of space. One way windows looked out into the stars so I could fall asleep under the cosmos.
By the time the guys appeared in the doorway, they were both gloriously, magnificently naked.
I drank them in. Mal’s black skin gleamed indigo in the moody lighting. His body, thickly muscled, was all coiled power. Like me in this form, he had gray hair, but while mine was silvery, his was more like charcoal. Unlike my Ladrian body, his hair did not run down his spine and over his tail. Being the rare tailless Ladrian, that light dusting of hair ended at the base of his neck, like a human. His jaw was granite cut, his indigo eyes hot as they landed on me.
Tiger stood behind him. He wasn’t as heavy with muscle, but still quite well-built. Those honey brown eyes stared at me with longing.
“What are you waiting for?” I asked in a flirtatious tone.
Mal crossed the room to the bed like a storm, silent, focused, hungry. He grabbed my ankles and yanked them apart. No preamble. No teasing. Just his mouth and his hands and the heat of his breath as he slid his fingers through my slick folds and licked a slow, deliberate line up the center of me.
I gasped, tangling my fingers in his hair. Before my eyes fluttered shut, Tiger knelt at the head of the bed and slid his thigh beneath my neck, gently propping me up. He kept hiscock angled away from my face, but his presence felt protective, reverent even, as he stroked his fingers through my hair.
When I reached for him, he pushed my hand away. “Right now, I just want to watch.”
So I let him. I settled onto my new pillow, his thigh, and surrendered to everything Mal gave me. He didn’t go slow. There was no softness in his tongue or hesitation in his fingers. He licked me deep and purposeful, dragging heat through every nerve ending. His mouth sealed over my clit and he sucked, and my spine bowed off the bed.
