A provocative smile curved her lips. “Your mouth says don’t, but I bet your cock says something else.”

“No, we’re all on the same page. I promise.”

Petal maneuvered herself around, slinging her leg over me. “Come on, now—”

I picked her leg off of me and tossed it back. “No.”

She didn’t retreat. Instead, she pressed me to the mattress and straddled my hips. “You like it rough, huh? I thought so—”

I cocked my hips up as I shoved her back, then dropped them and rolled out from under her. When I was finally standing, I faced her. “What the fuck are you doing, Petal? I thought you like women.”

Her lips curled into a taunting smile. “Is that what you thought?”

“Doesn’t matter.” I put my hands up and took a step back as she climbed over the bed toward me. “I am not interested in you. At all.”

“But we have to have a party, Malice.”

Her words made no sense. “What are you talking about?”

She knelt on my bed and untied the string on her little outfit. It fell open, fully revealing every inch of her. I kept my eyes on hers. “Thisparty,” she purred.

“Go to bed, Petal,” I said, my tone as harsh and direct as I could make it. “Yourbed.”

She spread her knees apart and began touching herself. “You don’t want me to leave.”

“Fine,” I grit out. “If you’re not leaving, then I am.”

Her sultry laugh echoed in the room. “And where can you go that I won’t find you, Malice?”

My fists balled so hard that my nails bit into my palms. She was right. I could not escape her advances. But that didn’t mean I had to cave into them. “Just stop touching yourself and leave me alone.”

“I’ll make you a deal.” Petal laced her fingers together in her lap in false innocence. “I will stop touching myself, if you will lay next to me on the bed.”

I huffed out a breath. “I am not some idiot teenager who is dumb enough to believe that you would keep your hands to yourself.”

She giggled. “Well, which is it, Malice? Do you want me to stop touching myself? Or keep my hands to myself?”

I pointed to the door, beyond aggravated. “Get out.”

“Please don’t send me away,” she said in a soft, pleading voice.

I stared at her, the switch in her mood startling me. “What has gotten into you, Petal? This isn’t like you.”

For a flash, she looked scared. Genuinely scared. But then her smile smoothed out again. The seductress was back. “You don’t know what I’m like. But I would love to show you.”

Her behavior was baffling. “Either talk to me like a person or get the fuck out of my room.”

“No.” She got off the bed, her lingerie fluttering behind her as she stalked toward me, her naked body on display. “We are going to have a party, Malice. You are going to get on that bed and show me what it means to be a man, and I will show you what it means to be a woman.”

I laughed, mocking her. “You’ve lost your mind. There will be no party, I will not do this, and you cannot make me.”

She grabbed my shirt and yanked me forward, slamming her mouth to mine, kissing me forcefully. I shoved her hard, and she stumbled backwards, nearly falling.

She caught herself and glared at me. “You’re cruel, Malice. Flirting with me. Leading me on. Making me fall in love with you, and then you do this—”

“What the fuck, Petal!” My voice rose to an incredulous shout. “I have never led you on about anything!”

“You’re just like every other man!” she sneered at me. “I thought you were different! Someone who defied Justice Bateen should have been special!Amazing, even. But you’re like all the rest. An ungrateful, brooding, selfish bastard. Well, I’m not going to let you deny me what you owe me—”
