“Go. Give her our love.” Saint watched as Dain walked out the door. “They’re both fine,” he murmured to himself. “That’s good.”

“It’s almost time,” a nurse called out from the station just down the hall. “Ten! Nine! Eight!”

Saint turned to Rae, pulled her hard against him. Dain had been blessed tonight, but so had all of them. He had Rae in his arms. They were building a life together. King had Charlotte after too many years apart. Elliot had Deacon; she wasn’t hiding anymore.

“Five! Four! Three!”

He brushed Rae’s lips with his. “I love you, cariño.”

She smiled against him. “I’ll remember that.”

He laughed and kissed her as midnight struck. They had all been blessed beyond measure. As he pressed Rae against him, feeling their bodies mesh as if they’d been made for each other, feeling her kiss light a fire inside him, he wondered what other blessings the New Year held in store for them. Him. Rae.

Noah Elliot Brannan.

For each and every one of them.

Before you go…

Remi and Leah have their very own story! Violence brought them together, but it was love that made it impossible to walk away.

ASSASSIN’S HEART

Assassins 3

My brother believes he made me a killer. The truth is, I’ve always been different. I can smile while sliding a knife between your ribs—and not feel a moment of regret.

Until Leah.

A man like me shouldn’t have a family. But the minute I opened my eyes from a coma and saw her, I knew I’d forever be tied to her. A nurse who nurtures life. A mother.

I’ve watched her for two years, unable to stop but refusing to give in to the need to have her. To love her. Until the night her daughter is taken. I’ll light up the world to get Leah’s child back to her.

And then I’ll walk away for good. Not because it’s the right thing to do, but because I know how she’ll look at me after seeing who I truly am.

She’ll see the murderer inside me. And God help me, but she’ll be right.
