The sound of flesh against flesh. Bone giving way. His mouth splitting open with blood.
His eyebrow is busted, gushing red.
And he’s still there — no knife, no gun, not even trying to stop me.
Just taking it.
Justlettingit happen.
The whole warehouse snaps into alert mode.
I see figures moving in, but I don’t focus.
Ican’t.
I’m too busy smashing the face of the bastard who ruined my life.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?!” Zion’s voice slices through the tension like a blade.
When I glance up, he’s got a gun pointed straight at me. Right beside him, Grace steps in with a knife in hand, wearing a baby-pink hoodie that looks grotesquely out of place in the scene.
Blood’s dripping from my knuckles.
Hunter’s mouth is completely fucked.
“Chill the fuck out, big guy. Who the fuck do you think you are?” Vincent pushes through the crowd, eyes wide. He reaches down, trying to help Emma up.
“I… am…Venom,” Zion mocks, voice soaked incontempt. And the smirk on his face, pure hatred. “Back the fuck off, you little shit.”
“Damon!” Emma’s scream cuts through everything. “Get up!”
But I don’t hear her.
Or maybe I do… But I just can’t stop anymore.
“Damon.” Carter’s voice cuts through the warehouse like a muted gunshot — deep and heavy — slicing the thick air full of sweat and blood. People start to back away in tense silence, like spectators finally remembering this isn’t just a fight — it’s a sentence being carried out right in front of their eyes. “That’s enough.”
When I lift my face, I’m breathing hard.
Hunter’s blood is on my hands, on the floor, in the air I breathe.
Carter’s standing there, watching me with that disappointed look — the kind that comes from someone who’s seen too much, someone who expected better.
But I don’t give a shit.
The rage is still bubbling, hot, alive.
I punch Hunter again, this time where it hurts more.
Ribs. Stomach. Again. And again.
Until he groans.
Until his body caves in just a little more.
Carter gives a barely visible signal, and Vincent moves before it’s even finished.
He storms over and yanks me off Hunter with brute force — drags me like I’m some kind of animal.
