Rui Salko
If I weren’t a son-of-a-bitch, I would have patted myself on the back. Even with my brother’s weak stomach, my plan was going splendidly. The letter I had Gwen write was ingenious, I must say. Davian Cross had been a thorn in my side for far too long. Using Reyna as bait would have been much better, but my sweet Gwen would work nicely. She was such a gem. Who would have thought that she would be the one to fill my life with happiness? When I took her from Davian five years ago, I intended to sell her to the highest bidder, just like I had planned to do with Reyna, until Davian fucked up my plan with a surprise invasion. He didn’t know it yet, but he would pay for that one. His little stunt cost me thirty million, and no way would I let that slide.
My sweet Gwen would make sure he finally got what was coming to him. She was quite the little submissive; obedient, and always willing to please at any cost. Her loyalty to me would finally pay off.
It was approaching 8:00 p.m., and I never felt more relaxed. My sweet Gwen was in the bedroom getting ready, making herself more beautiful than she already was. I never understand Davian. He and Gwen had everything, at least until I took that away. I gave him a second chance, even if it was for a short time. Why would he throw that away to be with a defiant, disobedient, deviant wretch? His choice was beyond me. Good for me, though. I got the grandest prize of all.
While I sipped my brandy, Gwen stepped out of the bedroom, looking absolutely delicious. “Rui, sweetie, can you please zip me up?”
Her endearment toward me made my cock jump to life. “You look good enough to eat. When this night meeting is over with Davian Cross, I am going to make sure you get an extra special reward.”
Kissing her right shoulder, I pulled up her zipper, admiring her soft skin while the silky material of her dress tucked it away for me to devour later. When her zipper was as far as it would go, I spun her body around so that she was facing me. After her little mishap with Davian three nights ago, I took back what was mine by placing my lips over hers. I would never tire of her soft mouth and the way she tasted when I dipped my tongue inside. Always so responsive to my touch. It made me wish I had time to take her now instead of waiting until later.
Sliding my hands down her back until they rested on her tight ass, I gave her cheeks a light squeeze before giving her a playful slap on her right ass cheek. “Finish getting ready. We need to leave in fifteen minutes.”
When she turned to walk back to the bedroom, there was no doubt that her scent of arousal was left behind. There was nothing like the scent of a woman to make a man’s dick hard. I wondered if Gwen knew the amount of power she actually had over me.

Five of my men and I waited patiently for Davian to arrive. I had never known Davian to be late, but then again, he liked using his power over others. Looking toward the pier, my sweet Gwen was easy to spot from our location as she waited near the end of the Pavilion for Davian to show. The earpiece she wore assured me that she would relay word for word everything I wanted her to say. It also provided a two-way microphone to hear his side of the conversation without giving away mine.
From where my driver parked the car, I couldn’t see whether or not Davian had arrived, but my men could. When my cell rang, I knew it was showtime. I focused my sight on Gwen while I waited for Davian to come into view.
His tall build was unmistakable as he stepped up to Gwen, stopping a few feet from where she stood. I watched him look around, cognizant of his surroundings. Davian Cross was no fool. He knew we were watching even though he couldn’t see us.
“Thank you for coming, Davian.” Gwen’s soft voice came over the wireless transmitter through the car speakers, loud and clear. God, how I loved innovation.
“What the hell is this about, Gwen, and who the fuck killed one of my men?” Pain and regret laced Davian’s voice, and it made my heart sing.
“I’m sorry for that, but I didn’t have anything to do with Sean’s death.”
I couldn’t blame her for telling the truth. Still, she needed to stay to the script. “Gwen, sweetheart, you need to say precisely what I told you to say. Nothing more.”
“I know Salko put you up to this, and he was responsible for Sean’s death. Tell me what he wants.” Davian Cross was smart, but in a way, stupid. He knew exactly what I wanted. My fucking diamonds.
“Rui said he would let me go as long as you gave him back his diamonds. He knows you have them.” Good girl. Now she was doing as I requested.
There was silence between them, and I was concerned that something might have happened. My men were armed and ready for any disruptions to my plan. When Davian spoke, his comment surprised me. “Tell Salko I’m not playing his game. If he wants his diamonds, he can meet me face to face instead of hiding behind a woman.”
“Davian, stop. Did you ever really love me? Does she satisfy you like I did?”
“My feelings for you are long gone, and so is what we shared. Reyna is my life now. Go back to Salko. It’s evident you two belong together. Give him my message. I’m sure he knows how to reach me.”
“Turn the damn thing off. I’ve heard enough.” Not only had Gwen disappointed me with her disobedient behavior, so had Davian with his request. Meeting him in person would be a death wish. There was only one way I was going to get my diamonds back. I should have gone with my initial plan and used something he cared about.Reyna. The problem was, by now, she would be back at the warehouse, and getting to her would be like breaking into Fort Knox. Somehow, I had to get to Reyna, but how?Think, Salko, think.
When Gwen returned to the car, she was too much of a distraction and needed discipline for straying from the script. Grabbing her by the wrist, I squeezed it tightly, knowing if I tightened my grip further, I would snap her wrist in half. “You were a disappointment tonight. Not only did you veer away from the script, you defied my warning by doing it again.”
“Please forgive me, Rui. My emotions got the best of me. Davian and I were together once.” Her plea did nothing to soften my anger.
“You will be riding with Hugo.” Hugo was one of my most ruthless men. He knew exactly how to tame a defiant submissive, and Gwen was just that. She needed to learn once and for all how to follow my instructions.
“I don’t want to go with Hugo. I want to stay with you.” Not even the tears that filled her eyes were enough to make me change my mind.
“You will do as I say. Maybe next time, you will do as I ask and not go against my wishes.”
Grasping onto the lapel of my expensive suit like it was her lifeline, Gwen did everything possible to remain in the car. She had no chance against Hugo. He pulled her off me and lifted her from the car like she weighed no more than a sack of potatoes. Chuckling with satisfaction, he swung her over his shoulder and hauled her to his waiting vehicle. Hugo knew exactly what to do with her. His methods never disappointed me. By tomorrow her obedience would be restored.
Gwen was the least of my problems. Davian Cross topped the list of people that needed to be taken care of. If it weren’t for the fact that he had my diamonds, I would have killed him just like I had Giles Curtis killed. Smiling, I knew having Curtis eliminated was the best move I ever made. He had to pay for taking my diamonds and for taking Anya from me. Dying might have been too good for him. If I had the power, I would have sent him to hell. My sweet Anya would soon get what was coming to her. By tomorrow she would be back in Russia. It was the best decision I ever made. My comrades would see to it that she was well taken care of. She would never see freedom again, and unlike Giles Curtis, she would live the rest of her days wishing she were dead.
