“You can head back. I just need to pull myself together. I’ll be right there.”

“I’ll wait for you by the driver door, okay?”

I nod. Watching as he retreats around the side of the van. Glancing around I try to focus my mind on anything but it’s all a blur until my eyes land on a familiar black Charger parked across the street from the parking lot. Dylan. No fucking way! Anger and fear begin fighting for dominance in my brain. Fear ultimately winning. Scrambling to my feet, I hastily slammed the doors to the van and sprinted around the van like I was being chased by the devil.

“Lola?” Stallion took one look at my face and I’m sure he saw the fear clearly splashed across my face. “What’s wrong?” His words come out as a near growl.

“Dylan.” That one word caused his entire face to completely morph into pure fury.

His eyes whip around scanning the entire area before he finally stops right where the Charger is parked. “Come.” He places his large hand on my lower back and guides me back to the group. “We’ve got a problem.” He tells the guys the second we reach them. “That dead motherfucker is parked across the street.”

Monk looked over in that direction. “What’s the plan boss? We can’t exactly let him tail any of us and find her.”

“I’m thinking just me and Sin head over and have a lil chat.”

“I like that plan.” Sin says, cracking his knuckles and then his neck.

“You guys got her?” There was a round of affirmatives before Sin and Stallion turned and walked off. Ray moves to stand in front of me blocking me from sight and Keyes moves up behind me caging me in, in a protective move.

They only made it to the road before Dylan peeled off in a hurry. Just as they rejoin us there is a loud obnoxious buzzer sound. I spin back to the gate and there he is, larger than life. Standing somewhere around 6 and a half feet tall his long chestnut hair pulled into a sexy as fuck man bun. When his blue eyes land on me his lips break into a grin parting his thick beard. Once clear of the gates he drops his stuff to the ground and spreads his arms wide for me. Before I could really think of what I am doing, I am sprinting for him.

After slamming straight into him his large arms wrap around me and lift my feet clear off the ground. “Hey there, Little Flower.” I tucked my face into his neck, inhaling his scent. “Not that I don’t love this greeting but I really wanna get outta here. You ready to go home?”

Home? It’s strange but his home has become mine. Unable to voice it I settle for nodding against his neck before lifting my head. Gently he lowers me back to my feet but doesn’t step away like I expect. Instead, quickly snatching up his stuff and placing his hand on my lower back.

“Boys!” he calls. “God, it’s so good to see you guys. Am I seeing things or do I see my bike?”

Stepping forward Stallion clasps Reaper behind the neck. “No brother. I rode it up here for you. I figured you would want to ride home.”

“What do you say, Little Flower. You wanna ride home with me?”

Reaper

This was either the worst idea I’ve ever had or the best. Stallion hands me my helmet and I fit it onto her head making sure its tightly secured, onyx curls cascading out the bottom. She is the most precious cargo I’ve ever had on my bike. Climbing onto my Harley, nothing has ever felt more like being home. Stallion brought my Harley Street Bob versus my chopper which is much lighter weight and I can have a bit more fun on it with Lola. I extend my arm out so she can grab on for balance and help give her a little boost. This girl is fun-sized. She is so short I wonder if she will even be able to get on the back without being picked up. Surprisingly, she actually figures it out but slides all the way to the back of my bike. That’s not going towork. Reaching back with both hands I grip just under her knees pulling her tightly against me.

“Little Flower, have you never been on the back of a bike? Give me your hands.” Her small hands appear at both my sides. Grabbing both hands, I wrap them firmly around my waist. “You’re gonna wanna hold on tight.” I bring the engine to life and she squeezes me tighter than I thought possible.

The last time I had a woman on my bike was my ex and that was like 20 years ago but this feels different somehow. Her body fits so perfectly against mine. My mind starts to wander to all the other ways her body would fit against mine. I shut those thoughts right the fuck down. I can’t think of her like that, she is young enough to be my daughter and if my son hadn’t turned into such a piece of shit she would have been my daughter. I’m gonna fucking kill that son of a bitch. I didn’t raise him to beat on women and who knows what else. I’m really gonna need to get all the details from my brothers in the morning.

Pulling up to the cabin I can already see some of the work my brothers put into updating it. Killing the engine, I quickly climb off to help her down. “Why don’t you head on in. I’ll be in, in a minute. I just need to chat with my brothers real quick.” She gives me the most adorable shy little smile before nodding and going into the cabin. Once the door is closed I turn to Stallion, “Church tomorrow morning at 10. I need all the details before we make our next move.”

“Sure thing, Prez. We did have a little hiccup in the parking lot before you got out.”

I shoot him a look and growl, “What kind of hiccup?”

“Dylan was parked across the street. He saw Lola with us. We chased him off to ensure he didn’t follow us back here. You’re sure he doesn’t know about this place, right?”

“Positive. We were still living at the old place when I got locked up. The plan was to move us out here after I got the placefinished. Plus, this house isn’t in my name so he can’t even find it by running a property record on me.”

“Good. That girl doesn’t deserve that shit he put her through but we will get more into that tomorrow. The bunnies want to throw a welcome home party for you tomorrow night. You cool with that?”

Giving a sharp nod I pull my best friend in for a tight hug. “It’s good to be home. Thank you so much for holding down the fort for me and for taking care of Lola.”

“Of course, brother. You need anything before we head out?”

“Nah, I’m good. I’ll see you guys in the morning.” With that Stallion turns and heads back to the rest of our brothers.

Walking in I’m amazed at the work the guys put in. Closing the door, I see my Little Flower perched on the edge of the couch looking a little uneasy. I head for the kitchen to try to make this a little less uncomfortable for her. We got to know each other through letters and now she is basically living with a stranger. The fridge looks fully stocked, thankfully. I grab a coke and call out over my shoulder, “What do you feel like having for dinner, Little Flower?” No response but I know she hasn’t gone anywhere. I turn to face her and see her anxiously wringing her hands in her lap and chewing on her full bottom lip. “Little Flower?” I try a little softer. Those big beautiful green eyes meet mine but quickly drop back down to the floor. Crossing the distance between us I drop to my knees at her feet and lift her chin up to bring her eyes back to mine. "I know this is probably weird for you. You’ve had this whole place to yourself, and now you have to share it with me. That’s gotta feel a little awkward, but you’ll have to get past it. Best way I can think of? We start getting more comfortable around each other—starting with dinner. So, what do you say, Little Flower? Think you can try to get past it with me?"
