It had been a long time since anyone had cared at all, and Ryld cared more than any lover Hank had been with in his old world or his new one.

He rocked his hips up to meet Ryld, letting the heat and the surging passion claim him, his cock and Ryld’s trapped between their bodies creating delicious friction as they rubbed together.

The warm water helped to melt away all the stress of the day, and apparently Ryld felt the same because neither of them made a move to change up their position. It wasn’t necessary anyway—the lazy glide of their bodies together was working to edge them toward a different type of stress relief.

“Ryld,” Hank panted as he got close. “I want…I want your teeth. Right at where neck meets shoulder. Not…not so hard you break skin, but, you know…hard.”

Ryld’s blue eyes were dark, with passion, not shadows. He seemed about to ask a question but must have changed his mind. Instead, he lowered his head, at the same time picking up the pace and grinding harder against Hank. Ryld’s breath was almost as warm as the steam against Hank’s skin where his lips hovered at the crook of his throat.

Was the hesitation uncertainty or…?

Ryld dug fingers into Hank’s shoulders as he nipped, then bit harder, right where Hank had told him to.

“Oh…goddesses.” Hank gasped and moaned, letting his head fall back on the stone lip of the pool as his hips ground up hard, nearly whiting out as his orgasm climbed unexpectedly high before exploding from him in heavy waves.

Ryld sucked hard at the mark he’d made with his teeth, his hips jerked erratically through his own peak before slowing to a lazy glide again, then going still, panting where he was draped across Hank.

“Mmm.” Hank kissed his face, lazy and thorough—forehead, cheeks, eyelids, mouth. “This was the best idea anyone’s had in days.”

Ryld made a happy sound of agreement. They lay submerged for some time, until they were both pruny and so loose and relaxed it was hard to drag themselves out. Later, when they met Kai for dinner, his eyes went right to the mark on Hank’s neck, but he said nothing, of course. Only the hint of a knowing smile slipped across his lips. The big soft bed was welcome when they finally climbed in, and Hank slept better than he had the night before.
