Cayden turned to me. “Aisha, Lily’s old roommate, is going to be there. Should Lily tell her the news? You know, she used to have a crush on you.”
I nodded sagely and raised my arms, positioning myself in the center of the locker room. The rest of the team looked up as I joked around.
“Let it be known, far and wide, tell the court and the villagers and all the travelers you find, Marcus Bailey is officially spoken for, now and forever. That’s right, boys.” I winked at the assembled players. “I’m finally leaving some ladies for the rest of you. My gift to you all.”
There was a smattering of applause and a ripple of laughter, then someone threw a towel at my head.
Ash wrapped a towel around his hips and waited for me to change.
“So, you coming to the diner? Bring Arianna. It’s time to get to know this new addition to the Ice Gods’ group properly.”
I checked my phone and saw a pin drop from Ari. Excitement stirred in the pit of my belly.
“Later. We’ll be there later.”
First, I had a game to play, and there was no one else I’d rather play it with.
Epilogue
Arianna
My classroom feltcozy bathed in the glow from the streetlight falling through the side windows. It wouldn’t be my classroom much longer, however, seeing as I was becoming a permanent faculty member in a few months. The music department professor whose leave I’d been covering had officially left HHU to move abroad. Dean Eastwood had offered me the position, and I’d accepted.
In other faculty news, Wade, also known as Professor Casanova, had finally met a student who hadn’t taken kindly to his player ways. She’d gone to the dean—but only after she had proof of his affairs with her and at least ten other students. While it wasn’t prohibited to be a player, Wade’s reputation had taken such a dive with his peers, he’d not been able to stand it. He’d been gone by the end of the week. I couldn’t say I felt that bad about it. Weirdly, all the girls affected were ones who hung out at the Hellions’ dorms… almost like someone had convinced themto band together to end Professor Casanova’s reign. I had my suspicions, but Marcus had only grinned when I shared them.
“I guess you reap what you sow, birthday girl.”
I could level the same charge at myself, if Marcus weren’t such a determined madman. I’d never managed to influence his way of thinking or change his plans even once.
Besides, I was done feeling bad about being in love.
I sat on the edge of the desk and slid my tight skirt up a little. We had a new game that involved finding fun new places to hook up, and my classroom was at the top of my list. After all those days of standing in front of him and not being able to touch him, I finally could.
The door at the top opened and shut, allowing a tall, dark shadow inside.
The lock clicked.
He advanced down the stairs, and my skin prickled with anticipation. I made out the white moon of his hockey mask, the one he’d kept since that night at the Hellions’ dorms. We’d had more than our share of fun with it.
“You’re not supposed to be in here… this is off-limits after hours to students,” I called to him. I sensed his smile behind his mask.
I lifted my legs a little, sending my skirt farther up my thighs. Slowly, I was learning to be more comfortable with my sexuality. I was getting more confident, and it was because of this man.
“My bad.” Marcus’ voice was muffled beneath the mask. “I guess you’ll have to report me.”
“Maybe, or maybe you can persuade me not to,” I suggested.
Marcus had reached me now, and he put a hand on my knee and slid it upward. As he got closer to my pussy, his fingers trailing through the wetness coating my inner thighs, his hand stopped.
“You appear to have forgotten your panties, Professor.”
“Hmm, have I? Oops.”
Marcus slowly lowered himself to his knees and pushed his mask back, tossing it aside.
“Were you sitting watching me play hockey without any panties on, beautiful?” he wondered.
“Why do you think I’m so wet?” I teased.
