We’re no longer burdened by the events that shaped us, but rather embrace all aspects of who each of us is.

I come around the final corner, and Ted signals to everyone that I’m ready.

Turning the corner, I realize I don’t need to take a steadying breath to compose myself. I’ve never felt so right about something or someone in my entire life.

Wolfe Walker is my forever. I just have to get to the other end.

Taking my time, I reach the start of the makeshift aisle and connect with Wolfe. His eyes are watery, and he smiles so freely when he sees me.

“You’re beautiful,” he mouths.

“So are you,” I mouth back.

He laughs as he gets impatient for me to head to him. I smile as I start to take the few steps to where he stands.

Wolfe takes a few steps of his own, impatient.

“You’re meant to wait up there,” I say with a laugh.

“I think I’ve waited long enough to find you.”

He guides me to the center, where Caleb starts the ceremony. It goes by in a blur as Wolfe and I only focus on each other.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride,” Caleb says.

Wolfe leans in and places the truest kiss I’ve ever felt.

As he pulls away slightly, he rests his forehead on mine and takes my hands in his, squeezing them together.

“Finally starting forever.”

“We’ve been on this path to forever since I first laid eyes on you,” he says with a small laugh.

“I loved you then, and I love you now. I’ll love you every day we have together in this lifetime.”

“And into death, our love will continue on.”

I smile against his mouth.

“Let’s live a long and happy life first.”

“Yeah, that sounds like a good plan to me.”
