Niall could only blink as he watched, marveling at how well Cenn understood his needs and anticipated his thoughts. “Thank you!” he said, swinging forward and kissing Cenn. “You’re pretty perfect too, for a demon. I thought demons were supposed to be cruel and do evil things.”

That stopped Cenn again. He nodded slowly, tracing Niall’s collarbone and shoulder. “I do cruel, evil things all the time,” he said, his gaze locking with Niall’s before he continued. “It’s a matter of perspectives and degrees, though. Sometimes, you have to be cruel and choose between the lesser of two evils in order to be kind or do the ‘right’ thing.”

“Are you doing the right thing now?” Niall asked, squinting and trying to read between the lines.

Cenn hummed and Niall could tell he was stalling. “For me, no… I’m playing a very dangerous game but it’s the most fun I’ve had in ages. It’s also the most confused I’ve been in a long time and I’m doing my best to be flexible and go with it. For you…” He took a deep breath, his expression turning severe. “This is as close to the right thing as I am capable of doing and I am certainly the lesser of two evils.”

“That’s not very reassuring.” Niall frowned but Cenn shushed softly and bucked off the bed, thrusting deep.

“All that matters is that your soul stays with you and intact.” Cenn’s eyes glowed, wild and bright in the darkened room. “There are monsters who want to take it from you but I won’t let that happen. You aremineand your soul will remain yours until you go on to rest in glory.”

“Alright,” Niall said with a firm nod. “I want to keep my soul and IthinkI can trust the rest of that.”

Cenn gave him a sheepish look. “Good, because I wasn’t entirely sure myself until just now. I thought about playing it safe—for me—but all that matters now is that your soul stays with you. To hell with the rest of it.” He rolled them so Niall was on his back and flexed his hips, setting the room ablaze.

“Yes! Don’t stop!” Niall cried as he wrapped his arms and legs around Cenn, pulling him deeper.

“I won’t let anything happen to you, Niall. You deserve to be pleasured and protected,” he huffed as his hips pumped fasterand faster, whipping Niall into a frenzy as his nerves twisted and flickered.

“Okay!” Niall nodded drunkenly, lost in the hypnotic friction and the heat spreading in his core. Cenn had insisted that Niall’s soul remain intact but he couldfeelsomething different—something tickling him from within—and he could taste smoke. “Just don’t stop! Keep going,” he urged, winding himself tighter around Cenn and pulling his hair.

“I won’t. Anything you want.”

Cenn’s hand was tight around Niall’s ass, his fingertips digging brutally into a cheek as they attacked each other’s lips and tongues. Sex had never been this feral or intense and Niall’s wild heart sang as he was flipped over and pulled back onto his knees. He howled and his eyes rolled when Cenn held him down and filled him with a deep, grinding thrust, forcing a burst of cum from Niall’s cock.

He screamed Cenn’s name into the bed as he came, then pleaded for him to keep going. Niall cried at the incredible pleasure radiating from his core and rippling from nerve to nerve, waves of radiant joy and warmth. He came again and again until his legs shook and his voice was hoarse before Cenn let out a shredded sob, chanting Niall’s name to the night as blue light and smoke filled the cabin.

“Is that supposed to happen?” Niall asked once he’d caught his breath and the room stopped spinning, receiving a limp shrug from Cenn. He had collapsed on the bed next to Niall and was still panting.

“Probably not but I don’t care.”

A wicked grin spread across Niall’s face. “I didn’t think it was possible to wear out a demon,” he mused and Cenn raised his head and snorted at Niall.

“If anyone could, it would be you. But I’m fine. Just give me a few minutes to catch my breath and I’ll be ready again.”

“If you’re sure you’re up to it,” Niall replied coyly, biting back a laugh. He might not be as cunning as Cenn, but Niall was quickly learning how to tame and taunt his demon.
