Blaze licked his lips before he took a sip of his soda. His fingers tapped and tapped away, his gaze moving from one screen to another and then another and back over again and again.

He was amazing at what he did.

Smart.

Stunning.

Grumbly.

Hot.

Protective

And very possessive.

He’s my heart and soul.

I would do anything for him, which was why I was on this couch even when God knows what could have happened on this piece of furniture.

“Henri,” he called.

“Yes, mon amour?”

“Sleep.”

“Oui, captain.”

“Firecracker,” he warned.

“So bossy,” I mumbled.

“You need a boss.”

I did.

“All right, amour. I will sleep and let you work. Goodnight.”

His grunt had me smiling as I drifted off.

“Da.”

I glanced to Gun. “What?” I knew what “da” meant, but saying yes wasn’t an answer.

Gun shrugged.

“You may ask what I am doing here,” Adrick said, like that explained it all.

“Then why?” I questioned. When he swung his hard gaze my way, I ducked back behind Gun, who chuckled. Adrick was scary. I wasn’t sure what it was about the man, but he put the fear in me with one look.

“Why are you hiding? I did nothing.”
