Hmm, that wouldn’t work, since it’s clear my brain is unfaithful at this stage—it’s already made me look at his junk, and kiss him. Okay, it can’t be that bad, it’s been a few hours since I emerged from my room and nothing’s happened. That’s a good sign, right?

Cyrus returns, changing directions towards the corridor, “I’ll be back. I’ll just go and print out what I’ve written.”

Okay, no biggie, this isjust business. Simple. Nothing that I’m not used to. Just two professionals, side by side, making notes on a manuscript. Two, very single, very snowed in, very sexually tense professionals. Maybe I’ll set uptwoblankets… a world apart—like when I had to go through Covid lockdown—just to keep myself away from him.

“Okie dokie.”

Chapter Twenty-Eight

CYRUS

Nerves knotmy stomach to the point where I have to take a minute to sit down. This is worse than when she kissed me. I spend the next five minutes procrastinating at my desk, pondering whether or not I should print and read this manuscript to Holly or not.

As if I didn’t know this day would come.

This book is all her and I… On the plus side, she will at least know how I feel about her: totally, madly, utterly obsessed and possessed by her. Maybe she will take it as a compliment, and be totally flattered.

Or fully creeped out and call the cops.

Fuck.

I really did not think this through.

Hailey, the main female character, is Holly, and the male, Chris, is me. I changed the beginning of the story when I met Holly so that they meet in a similar way we did, they act in a similar way, speak in a similar way. I only dream of doing to Holly all of the things these two have done. The touching, the tasting, the breath restriction… and fucking her while she sleeps. But I’d never do any of those things unless she consented to it. I’m not that kind of guy.

My dick swells in my pants as the printer sparks to life.I really need to keep it together. The printing takes its time, there’s almost sixty five thousand words so far, which is the most I’ve written in such a short time span. Waiting for the last page to run its course, I meander to the bedroom, taking out her pair of red lace panties—something I mentioned in the book. I wonder if she will catch on?

The delicate fabric tingles my skin as I twirl them around my fingers, they’ve been my most prized possession of hers. It seems ironic that I’m holding her underwear, desperately wanting to see how they look on her, but knowing damn well they’d last only two seconds before I’d be pulling them to the side. I just want to have her in every single way she will have me.

I want to kiss every single inch of her skin, stimulate her in ways that she has never felt before. Feed her, bathe her, love her. Make her shake, make her smile, make her nervous, everything. I want to be her everything. I know she wants this too. I just have to wait for her—if she would just pretend for one second that I’m not her boss.

Or more importantly, like our careers aren’t on the line.

I staple the meaty stack of pages together by their chapters, waiting for my dick to go flaccid before hitting the lights. Downstairs Holly has dimmed the lighting, leaving only a few candles lit around the room and the ambiance of the fireplace to set the scene.

…Oh.

Twofullglasses from a new bottle of red wine, and a bowl of chocolates sit patiently on the coffee table by the flames. “Got it,” I say, waving the manuscript around. I’d say this was a date, but the fact that she has a table between our sitting areas tells me otherwise—smart girl. “You ready? I’m very much lookingforward to having your notes on it,” I add, trying to keep the heat out of my breath.

“Please, I can’t wait to hear it.” Holly gestures to the set up with confidence but the gulp that follows isn’t as convincing. I sit down on the opposite side as instructed, crossing my legs like a school kid and slap the pages onto the table.

An overly eager smile stretches my face as I unwrap the first chocolate, shoving it into my mouth, its nutty, rich flavors bursting in my mouth with an explosion, causing the underside of my tongue to salivate. I wash it down with wine to enhance the flavor before I start the first chapter.

I pay careful attention to the expressions on her face and body, listening to her every breath as I read aloud to her. So far so good, everything is going smoothly and she seems relaxed for the most part. “I think that paragraph should go above the other one, it’ll read easier,” she says, stopping me in one particular spot.

“Noted, thanks boss.” I scribble down her feedback on the paper and carry on.

Holly’s body language shifts, I can see her mind churning a million miles a minute as I read her the part about Hailey’s underwearmagically disappearing, meanwhile Chris had them the entire time, tucked away in his pocket. She doesn’t say anything, but she frowns.

“I could live forever off the smell of her sweet pussy,I think to myself as I sniff her lacey panties from her bedside drawer under her sex toy,” I say, reading from Chris’s perspective. Holly adjusts her position, and her breathing shallows.Hmm.“I would accept death gladly if it meant that I could die with my dick buried inside of her.”

“That’s a good line. That should go on the cover,” she says, her voice softer than before. Cute, she’s trying to be allprofessional and shit, but I know her mind is going wild right now.

“Great minds think alike.”

My wine depletes as I turn to the next chapter… the part where Chris uses Hailey’s key to break into her own home—similar to my last book—with the intention he’s going to have his way with her once she falls asleep. He had managed to fondle through her bag while she was at work one day, take the key, have it copied, and return it all within an hour. I wouldn’t stretch that far to cutting a key to spy on Holly, but then again, I didn’t need to… she’s stuck here with me.

I peer from the paper to eye her down, seeing that she has not taken her eyes from me, not even as she pours me another wine, nearly dropping the bottle in the process.
