The table is pretty crappy. I mean, it’s a decent chain, but not exactly five-star. For a moment, I consider hiding in the bathroom, but as my mind takes me to the next move, I don’t have one.
Inhaling, I decide to face his dick question head-on. Putting my arms around his shoulders, I ask, “Did you mean it when you said you wouldn’t care if I’ve been with anyone else?”
His jaw is rigid as he nods.
“You’re not very believable.”
Letting out a breath, Justin drops his forehead to mine, his arms encircling me, his hands in the small of my back. “I’m lying,” he admits. “I would care, but I wouldn’t think less of you if that’s what you’re asking. Fuck, I know you’re an adult. I’ve spent the last few days saying that to Ricky and Cory, and…fuck…everyone.” He inhales, his wide chest pushing against my breasts. “I don’t know what our future holds, Devan. I know without a doubt I want to be the last man you’re ever with. That’s what matters to me.”
“And me to be the last woman?”
He nods. “I wake up wondering why you’re even giving me a chance. I wanted to take you someplace tonight to show you how much I care about you. How proud I am to have you beside me. Last night, it felt like the entire town was watching me walk up to you in the bleachers. I felt a hundred sets of eyes on me. And with each step, something inside me grew. By the time I reached the top, I wanted to do more than gently kiss your lips. You do something to me, something basic or…shit…some caveman thing. You never have to explain what you did before me as long as you let me be the only one with you from now forward.”
“That almost sounds like a proposal.”
“It is. Not a marriage proposal. When that day happens, if it does, you won’t be wondering if I really asked you to marry me. You’ll know. This is a proposal to continue our exclusive seeing of one another. Dating or whatever it’s called these days.”
I nod.
“I need to warn you about something,” he says.
I take a step back. “What?”
“Making announcements like you did tonight about your lack of panties will definitely have consequences.”
My cheeks rise. “Oh, I like consequences.” Tilting my head, I ask, “Will I like them?”
“It’s my goal for you to like them a lot.” Justin walks all the way around me. “The other night, you let me play with your amazing tits. Did you like that?”
Shit.
My nipples bead without him touching me.
“Devan?”
“I liked it,” I say softly.
“My finger had the pleasure of your perfect pussy. Do you remember?”
Nodding, I smile. “I remember.”
“Did you like that?”
“I think that was obvious.”
“You mean by the way you came on my hand.”
Inhaling, I feel the return of the fire to my cheeks. “Yes, that’s what I mean.”
Reaching for the buttons that run down the front of my dress, Justin undoes the top one. “There’s something I’d like you to do for me.” Gathering my hair, he gently lays it behind my shoulder. His lips pepper my sensitive skin behind my ear. “Will you do it for me?”
I’m pretty sure he could ask me to rob a bank and as the fire within me builds, I’d say yes.
I reach out to his arm, holding his shoulders, to keep from falling. The sensation of his kisses and the rumbling of his voice wash through me in waves with the vigor of a rushing rapids. “Do what?” I manage to articulate.
He undoes another button and another.
“I need you to be one hundred percent honest with me.”
