“Your gift, Santa decided you were good this year.”

“So he gifted me a dance studio?”

“Mm, it’s a whatever dance place you want it to be as long as you’re happy in it.”

I cheer. I can’t help myself; the joy just springs out of me. Then I’m jumping for him. He catches me, laughing, and spins us around before dropping a kiss to my lips. “It’s so perfect. I can’t believe you did this.”

“I don’t ever want you to think for a second that your happiness isn’t everything to me. It is. You are everything and you always will be.”

“I have your gift, too. It’s not this big, but I had something made for you.”

His brows go up, nostrils flaring a bit as he inhales deeply and rubs his hands together. “I can’t wait!”

Reaching into my pocket, I fist the ring then set it in the middle of his palm. “I commissioned a local jeweler to make it for you.”

He lifts it, taking in all the details. “A raven? You had this made special for me?”

I nod, “It’s perched on a fist.”

“For me and you?”

I nod, worry clawing at me suddenly that he won’t care for it.

“I love it, thank you. No one has ever given me something so precious.”

“You have my heart, if that counts.”

“It counts one hundred percent, and you have mine. Always.”

“Forever.”

He nods, and then I’m in his arms. Safe. Cherished. Loved. Exactly where I’m meant to be.

The End.
