“Stroke yourself slowly. Make yourself feel good,” I guide, relishing the gasp I hear as he does. “If I was there, I’d be on my knees for you in an instant. I would find all your beautiful freckles on your stomach and hips, and then I’d kiss each and every one of them. There’s one just above your belly button that drives me wild anytime I catch a glimpse of it under your cozy sweaters. I would come back to that one again and again, kissing and licking until you’re dripping for me to take you in my mouth.”

Steve’s breathing is getting faster, and I know this isn’t going to take long. Which is probably a good thing, considering he’s currently in his friend’s bathroom. There will be other chances for me to take my time with him. I keep talking, wondering just how fast I can make this.

“And I would, Princess. You wouldn’t even have a chance to beg. I want to lick your tip, discover how your precum tastes. I bet you’re just the tiniest bit sweet under all the salty. The opposite of the rest of you.” I grip myself tighter, my hand speeding up as I think of Steve’s sweetness. His bright laugh and his kind, slightly sassy attitude. A small groan hits my ear, and I imagine it coming from red-painted lips. My cock throbs at the thought. “Then I’d explore your length. You felt so good against me before. I want to feel you again. Suck you and stroke you until you’re delirious with pleasure. Want to play with your sac and tease your hole until you come down my throat. And I want to swallow all of your release, savoring your flavor because it means I made you feel good.”

“Shit, shit, shit,” Steve starts panting into the phone before there’s one long moan. The sound of his orgasm sets off my own. It smashes into me, and my hips punch up off the couch as ropes of cum coat my hand and land on my lower belly.

After a few seconds, my breathing starts to slow, and I realize I’m in the living room. Oops. Good thing Blake isn’t home. Before I can get too worked up about that, Steve’s blissed out voice comes through again.

“Thanks, Noe. I no longer have a hard-on. Now I just have a mess.”

We both laugh at that, and I snap a picture of my own mess and send it through.

“Same.”

“Fuck,” Steve mutters a little breathlessly. “That’s one of the hottest things I’ve ever seen.”

I chuckle, cock twitching valiantly at his words, even though it’s down for the count after our jerk session. I do a cursory cleanup and tuck myself away. “I know for a fact you’ve seen a mirror, Princess. Pretty sure your face right now would give me a run for my money in the contest for hottest.”

A quiet, pleased-sounding hum comes through the phone. “Well, regardless, now I have to walk back out like I didn’t just jerk off in the bathroom.”

“I mean, you could always say it was part of your holiday observances.”

“I just might,” Steve says through a laugh.

When he doesn’t immediately say goodbye, I get the feeling we’re both stalling for time, neither of us wanting to leave this little bubble we’ve created. I’ve missed being near Steve for more than a few minutes at a dog park. It doesn’t matter that it’s only happened once; that once was enough to hook me, and I want more. I open my mouth to say something, but nothing comes out. So instead, I just listen to Steve’s quiet, steady breathing. Too soon, I hear a knock from Steve’s side of the call, followed by a muffled “Tell that hunky dog walker of yours that you’ll see him later, and get your ass out here, Stevie. Some of us actually have to pee!”

“You can’t see me, but I’m flipping you off, Stu,” Steve replies, voice sounding like he’s got his hand over the phone mic. Even with that, I can hear the fond exasperation in his tone. His next words are louder again, clearly meant for me. “I really should get going, Noah. Can I see you this week?”

“I would love that.” I mentally run through my calendar. My freest night would be Tuesday, even though I’ve got the girls. My heart thrums at the thought of introducing them to Steve. Would he want that? I guess there’s only one way to find out. “How do you feel about meeting my nieces? I’ve got them on Tuesday, but we could all hang out together.”

At first, I think Steve is against the idea because he doesn’t reply right away. Just as I’m about to tell him that we can find another time, he answers, and just like his response to my dick pic joke, I shouldn’t have worried about his reaction to this either. I can hear the excitement in his tone as he chirps, “Iwould love that! Are you sure? Would you want to bring them to my place to play with Stacy again?”

He sounds eager and hopeful, and my heart flips again at how sweet this man is. Not only is he willing to meet two of the most important people to me, he’s offering his own space and dog to do so. “Of course, I’m sure. And your place sounds great. I’m sure they’d love to see her.”

“Then it’s a date.”

I don’t think I stop smiling the whole rest of the weekend.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Steve

“SINCE WHEN DOyou have puzzles?” comes Stu’s confused voice from my living room. He came over after he got done with work tonight, supposedly to help me get ready for when Noah brings his nieces around. Mostly, his form of helping is sitting on the couch with Stacy and making comments about how cute it is that I’m so nervous while talking to her in a baby voice. I really do have the best friends.

I do one final check that snacks and beverages are set before joining them on the couch. I plop down next to Stu and lean into his arm, curling my legs up on the cushion next to me.

“I swiped one from Greg. He offered when I mentioned that I wasn’t sure what to do with the girls tonight.” I shrug and stroke Stacy’s soft ears as she lays her head on Stu’s lap. “Figured it couldn’t hurt to have options.”

“Well, it is a super-cool puzzle,” Stu comments, tilting the box back and forth to get the full effect of the psychedelic rainbow spiral design. He blinks a few times and then shakes his head like the colors were messing with his brain.

I chuckle and pluck the box from his hands to put back on my coffee table, just as my phone rings. I grab it from where it’s sitting to see that my dad is calling. I answer and immediately put it on speaker.

“Hey, Dad, what’s up?”

“Just wanted to check in with you. Is Stu there?”

“Hey, Tom!” Stu says before throwing me under the bus. “Did Stevie tell you he’s got a boyfriend?”
