That had him giving me a little smirk. “Forever and always, Brass Man.”
Forever and always with my pretty bird.

Ben
Ten Months Later
He was absolutely breathtaking.
As my pretty bird walked toward me, painted-on black tux sparkling in the low light of the club that would officially open tomorrow, I found myself holding my breath. The family we’d built over the past year watched with just as much anticipation as he smirked and slowly made his way toward the flowered archway where we would make our vows.
He was such a brat, taking his time and loving the way every eye was on him. He was thoroughly enjoying how utterly insane he was making me, but I wouldn’t have changed a moment of it. He was insane and obsessive, and as he finally stopped beside me, beaming with love and excitement, I knew he was the love of my life.
He took my hands in his as everyone held their breath, and his smirk faded into something sweeter but still just as Conner as he’d been from the very beginning. “I love you, Master.”
Even the way he’d thrown himself into our partnership, built the club, and been totally insane as he’d planned the wedding hadn’t dimmed how I felt about him. If anything, seeing his passion for every aspect of our life only made me love him more.
Squeezing his hands, I let the rush of emotion those words always brought wash over me. “I love you too, pretty bird.”
He was the most vibrant person I’d ever met…he had the most beautiful soul I’d ever found…and he was the pretty bird I was going to love forever and always.
