“Stay,” I growled, then bolted to the bedroom to grab the bottle of lube. We’d really put a dent in it this past week. I was slicked-up and knuckle deep in minutes. Eden’s thighs quivered as I worked my fingers into him, stretching him. He wasn’t one that took a lot of prep, thank god, because I was nearly ready to explode.

“I’m sorry,” I uttered, uncertain all of a sudden. “I—”
“No!” Before I could pull away, he grabbed me by the hair and yanked me down. For a split second, panic seared through me, followed by the most exquisite pain as his blunt human teeth tore into my skin.
My cock twitched inside of him. “Fuck.”
Eden licked his lips, then gently drew my face to his. “Please, Oakley,” he whispered, his voice so soft. “Stay. We’ll figure things out together, but please, don’t leave me again.”
To my horror, his beautiful brown eyes welled with tears. “Oh, baby. No.” I kissed the saltwater from his skin, hushing him with my touch. “I’m right here,” I promised.
Because this was real. I’d just sealed our fate. Eden was my Omega, and I was his Alpha.
“Good.” He slowly wound his arms around my neck and we held onto each other even after the pleasure had faded. I knew there was no way I was going back to Everwood. Not when I had everything I could ever possibly want, right here in Vale Valley.
