“There’s something else I have to tell you, but I need you to promise you won’t shut me out like before.”

“I’m sorry, Aussie,” he says with a sigh. “I know I let you down by going quiet, and I probably hurt your feelings, but all I could think of was your lifeless body under my tree. You have to be more careful, okay? I wouldn’t know what to do if I lost you.”

I roll my eyes. “Have I climbed any trees recently? No. I don’t do acts of physical exertion unless they end with an ejaculation. You of all people know that.”

“Still, I want your word.”

“Fine. I won’t climb any more trees. Now, can we get back to the matter at hand?”

He stands and lifts me out of the boat, holding me against his chest. My entire asshole is exposed, but thankfully, there’s no one within eyesight. I bury my face in his neck and inhale the stench of sweat and sex wafting off his body.

“And what exactly was the matter at hand?”

The question pulls me back to reality, but I want to stay lost in this headspace, breathing him in as he cuddles me close.

“Mom,” I answer, kissing his neck again. “I did something stupid, Daddy, and you’re going to be really mad.”

He walks up the steps to the cabin and opens the door, then takes the cowboy hat off his head and puts it on mine, lickinghis lips like he's ready for round two. “What about your mom, baby? What did you do?”

I open my mouth to speak, but someone beats me to it.

“Oh, I’ll tell you what that son of a bitch did,” my mom hisses, making my entire body stiffen. Dallas must sense my fear, because he holds me even closer.

Why the fuck is Mom here? How the fuckis Mom here?

“Mom?” I try to crane my neck to see her, but Dallas has his hand on the back of my head, and he pulls me closer until my face is nuzzled in his neck, sending his hat flying off my head and onto the floor. At any other time, I might lean into the moment, in hopes the moment never slips away, but I can’t do that when I’m completely nude and my Mom is behind me and my entire ass is out for her to see.

“Why is your bare ass on display? I didn’t sign up to see your asshole, Austin Snowden,” someone says, but it’s not my mom. It’s a voice Iknow by heart, though.

“Ezra?” Wriggling out of Dallas’ intense protective grip, I manage to move my face away from his neck and look over my shoulder. Sure enough, there he is. He’s sitting next to Mom on the sofa, and he’s holding a gun. Where the hell did he get a gun? He’s also holding a rope that’s been looped around my mother’s arms several times, securing her. “Did you take my mom hostage?”

He shakes his head emphatically. “It’s for my protection. She’s tried to kill me four times already.”

“Twice, you lying little queer.”

“Well, there’s no need for name calling,” I say, but it only earns me a death glare from my mom.

“You,” Ezra snaps, pointing his judgy little finger at me. “You're a selfish piece of shit. When we started this acapella group, you said I could be in charge. Being in charge means keeping you in line, and you’re so far out of line, you can’t even see straight. It’s like your mind has been wiped of all things that don’t pertain to Dallas. I will not be erased simply because you want to get your dick wet. Pack your shit. We’re leaving.”

“Absolutely not. She’ll stay here and try to fuck Daddy. That’s not happening.” I turn and glare at her. “I’ve been inside him, Mom. You can’t have him back.”

My mother looks like she’s going to be sick. “Disgusting. Every single word of that is disgusting, but that’s no surprise, considering you’re the tackiest man I’ve ever met. I ought tocall the police for what you did to me in Oklahoma. I mean, kidnapping, Austin? Really? You left me in the wilderness to fend for myself.”

“You did what?” Daddy shouts, but I put my hand over his mouth. I can only handle one dumpster fire of a situation at a time.

“I didn’t leave you in the wilderness, I left you in an IHOP parking lot with a wad of cash. No one forced you to run down the streets of Tulsa, Oklahoma, like a meth-fueled torpedo, screaming about how once you got your next fix, you were going to track me down and carve my heart out with a nail file. Honest to fucking God, if I have to listen to you play the victim again, I might actually set myself on fire. You are exhausting.”

“Go ahead. Burn.” She scowls at me from her place on the sofa. “I wish you would. You’d be doing us all a favor.”

“Now, see here,” Dallas shouts, his voice booming off the walls and echoing all around. “I don’t know what the fuck is going on right now, but I know that I’m not going to let anyone tell someone to go kill themself. What the hell is wrong with you, Shelly?”

“What’s wrong withme? What’s wrong with me is my son has been trying to steal my husband my entire marriage, and my husband is too fucking stupid to see it. Now the little queer’s converted you and I’m shit out of luck. Well, I’ll tell you something, if you think I’m going down without a fight, you’ve got another thing coming. Wait until all your friends back home hear that you’ve been grooming my son since he was a kid. Wait until everyone in the trailer park knows what a fucking pervert you are.”

Dallas’ jaw hits the floor, releasing the hold he has on me, sending me falling to the floor, legs splayed out, my cock, balls, and asshole on full display to everyone in the room.

“Son of a fuck,” I growl as I shield my dick with my hands and stand up. Taking a step behind Dallas to shield my exposed body, I growl into his ear, “Rude, much?”

“I ain’t no goddamn groomer,” he says, his voice taking on a heated tone that makes me scared on Mom’s behalf. “Don’t ever say that again. You know me, Shelly. You know I didn’t look at him that way. Not until now.”
