Tripp has this dumbass look on his face and I can already tell it’s going to be some playboy pick up line. “With you, angel? Absolutely.”

I don’t even bother saying anything because Reagan laughs. “Yeah, listen, call me when you have a vagina, and we’ll talk.”

Adam claps Tripp’s shoulder as he registers my sister’s implication. “He acts like he has one sometimes. Does that count?”

All in complete unison the girls say, “No.”

When the other’s walk off, Beck laughs. “I thought I was the only member of Team Will and Callie, but it seems you guys might have a fan club.”

My phone vibrates in my pocket and Callie reaches for her as well, so I already know what group message it’s from.

When Will Finally Dates Callie.

Reagan

Not to be dramatic but the sacrifice we just made needs to be noted.

Lucie

Our old table was taken so we grabbed a new one as far away as possible. You guys are completely out of eyesight.

Callie shoves her phone back in her small bag and laughs as I immediately pull her to me. Her back rests against my chest and I kiss the back of her head. “You ready to win, Blaze?”

“They don’t stand a chance.” Callie looks back at me with a smile and I place a quick kiss to her lips.

“Okay, guys, don’t go too crazy. Social media is still a thing.” Beck laughs then turns to Jensen. “Jenni-cakes, rack ‘em up!”

I have sisters, so I’ve seen a million eye rolls. I’ve never seen someone’s eyes roll as hard as Jensen’s do toward Beck just now.

“Did you see that?” Callie snorts a small laugh.

I pull her tighter to me. “Stay close, the temperature in here just got a lot colder.”

At the start of the game, Callie has a great break and gets us a good lead, but after a while Beck catches them back up. I stand off to the side as it’s Callie’s turn at the eight-ball, and Beck practically hovers over her.

“You’re much better than that dick I helped her escape from,” Jensen says as she comes up next to me. “But your friend is annoying as shit.”

I laugh. “Hey, I got to give him credit. He’s covered for us quite a bit. Don’t write him off so quickly.”

Jensen hums. “Have you tried slipping him a Xanax? Does it calm him down any?”

“Damn it, Callie!” Beck shouts and throws his hands up as Callie sinks the eight-ball and wins us the game.

I go to take a step toward her but before I can make it Adam comes back over.

“My sister kick your ass again, Daines?”

“I swear she cheats.” Beck shakes his head.

Callie shoots a quick smile my way before turning back to her brother with a shrug. “Will and I just make a good team.”

After a few more rounds of drinks and some pizza we call it a night. Lucie and Reagan aren’t super drunk, but I don’t feel comfortable having them drive. So I tell them to crash at my apartment. Fuck knows I won’t be there.

Given that I was technically the designated driver again, I drove all of the guys here. Adam, thankfully, stopped drinking after two beers hours ago, so he drives Jensen home and my sisters and Callie back to our complex. I have the displeasure of delaying my night with Callie to drop Tripp and Beck off.

The speed limit might have been pushed a bit on my way back to my place. Walking down the hall I take a glance back just to be sure and immediately pass my apartment door. I know my sisters will make themselves at home, and after looking at Callie all night, my mind is on a one-way track. I’m getting really tired of pretending that I don’t worship every move she makes. If we can’t convince Olsson our relationship won’t be a problem soon, I might lose my damn mind. A whole new take on this “we won’t be a problem” idea.

Reaching for her doorknob, I’m not at all surprised that it’s unlocked. What I am surprised by is opening the door to find Callie no longer in her black dress.
