“Stop!”Silver yelled, then laughed when she rolled over and shut off the alarm. When it had started to ring, Patch had reached out and slapped the snooze, but hit her on the side of the head instead. As she yelled at him, Patch reared up and stared around in shock, then flopped back on the bed.

“Damn.”

“What?” Silver asked as she tossed the blankets back and rose from the bed. Other than having sex that first night after their dinner date, they had gotten to bed late on both Saturday and Sunday night. Within seconds of them lying down, they had fallen asleep. Now it was five o’clock Monday morning, and time to get up and get ready for work.

“I don’t know if it’s you, this apartment, or this bed, but once I lay my head down, I’m a goner. I’ve had more restful sleep in the last three nights than I have in the last three months.”

“Could it be that you’re not at the office, or on call, and you know you can relax without being interrupted with a trauma coming in?”

“That could be it,” Patch said after several seconds, then tossed his covers back and rose. He looked at her with a grin. “Shower together to conserve water.”

“Absolutely,” Silver laughed as she hurried toward the bathroom. She turned on the water, and used the facilities, then stripped to climb into the warming shower. She was only in the stall for a few seconds before a very naked, and very aroused Patch joined her.

After wetting her body, she grabbed the soap, lathered her hands, and rubbed them over his chest, down his eight-pack of abs, then as she started further south, he stopped her.

“Touch me and I’m done.” He bent down, lifted her chin with one finger, and swooped in to devour her lips. In seconds he had her lifted to him, with her legs wrapped around his waist, and his erection poised at her entrance.

“Condom?” she asked.

Patch grinned as he reached up along the top ledge of the shower stall and pulled one down. “I put them there after my shower yesterday.” He grinned as he handed it to her to open, then together they quickly donned it. As soon as Silver removed her hands from him, he lifted her chin again, took her lips with his, and plunged. His mouth absorbed her scream. When he knew she wouldn’t make a lot of noise, he lifted his head, and smiled down at her. “Okay?”

“Yeah.”

“Good, hang on,” Patch said, and kissed her again, then reached around behind her. He lifted her further up the wall, then proceeded to pound into her. Several minutes later, they both moaned as their orgasms overtook them. With his head on the wall beside her, Patch caught his breath. “That was intense.”

“Yeah,” Silver sighed, then gently shoved at his head. “Shit.”

“What?”

“I forgot I was supposed to be into work early.” Once Patch disengaged himself, she quickly washed her hair, and finished her shower. Patch was close behind.

“What time do you have to be to work?” she asked as she wrapped a towel around her wet body, and used another one to dry her hair.

“Six.” They both looked at the bedside clock, and noticed it was only quarter after five. They both rushed in dressing for their day, even though Patch would have to change into his scrubs once he arrived at work. While he went out to the kitchen, Silver went back into the bath room to do her hair and makeup. When she joined him, she frowned at the napkin he handed her. Before she said anything, she realized there was a hot breakfast sandwich wrapped in it.

“Thank you,” she said before she took her first bite. “Oh,” she said around the mouthful. “Before I forget.” She hurried over to the table in the hall, picked something up off it, came back, and held her closed fist out to him.

“What’s this?” Patch frowned as he put his open palm beneath her fist. He looked down at the object she dropped into his hand.

“A key to my apartment. Lorna gave it back to me yesterday. She had a copy to come check on me when I was out after my attack. I’m giving it to you, so that you can come and go as you please. You’ve left quite a bit of food in my freezer, and though I’m not calling your colleagues thieves, but do you really want to take everything we made yesterday into work with you today?”

Patch grinned as he took the key and put it on his keyring. “No, it wouldn’t survive the day.” He chuckled as he leaned down and kissed her. “Thank you, does this key come with the invitation to join you in your bed after I get off of work?”

“It does.”

“Thank you.” He gathered her to him, and this time he didn’t lift his head, until they both needed air, then together they finished gathering their things, and went out to the parking lot to their separate vehicles. Patch got into his truck and went in one direction, while Silver got into her car, and went the opposite way.

Silver walked upto the front of the building that housed The Larson Foundation, and frowned when she saw two people standing there. “Finn? Ronnie? What are you doing here?”

“I’m here because I work here.” Finn grinned as he pulled his keys, and began to unlock the front doors. They were joined by Lorna and Deb as he did this.

“And I’m here to meet this Anna character, and get to the bottom of her lies,” Ronnie said as she followed her husband inside the building, holding the door open for the others to enter.

“No Major?” Lorna asked.

“No, he knew how upset Finn was Saturday, and it was easier to leave him home,” Ronnie said, then turned to the others with a grin. “Besides, with just one word, I could tell Major to take Ms. Franklin down, andthatwould be bad.”
