He blinked quickly. “No, I-I didn’t. She went missing.”

“No, you sold her, you sick fuck!” Nazai came over and punched Brad. His head whipped to the side.

Brad shook his head. “I didn’t. I didn’t,” he cried.

“We found her Brad and she told us everything,” I revealed.

He blanched. “You-you found her?” Beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

I slammed Wilma down on his thigh this time. Again he cried out in agony, reaching for his wound. His body jerked and the sound of the collar going off buzzed.

“It burns.” Snot dripped from his nose and tears from his eyes.

“How can you call yourself a father but so easily give your daughter up for drugs?”

“No. No,” he cried.

“And do you know she was chained up like a dog, just like you are right now. Only she was covered in cuts and bruises.”

Brad continued crying and blubbering. He begged and pleaded, even soiled his dingy jeans. “I’m sick, man. I can’t help it. I didn’t want to, but they were gonna kill me. Please!”

“So you sacrificed your kid?” River turned his nose up in disgust.

“I didn’t know what else to do. He said he would give her back once I paid him.” Brad sniffled.

“Who told you that, Brad?” Nazai asked glowering down at him.

Instead of answering, he cried. His body twitched. “He asked you a question,” Lucas said.

“Uh, I don’t know his real name but he’s called Rock.”

“His number’s in your phone?” Emmet asked, stepping up. He lifted the phone we found at Brad’s place.

“Yeah, man. Under Rock.” He coughed. “I told you his name. Can I go?”

My top lip curled. “You’re a pussy, you know that?”

“The number is either a burner or he dumped it because it’s disconnected,” Emmet said.

“What can you tell us about Rock?”

Brad shook his head. “He fronted me some drugs and I was robbed.” His words came out rushed. His eyes darted back and forth. By now his shirt was damp with sweat. The Barn was purposely hot to make him uncomfortable.

“You were robbed?” I cocked my head to the side.

His head bounced up and down. “Yeah, yeah.”

“Did you even care what happened to Tiffany?”

“I didn’t know.”

“You didn’t know? What the hell did you think grown men would do to a kid?”

He opened his mouth and closed it multiple times.

“This is useless. We got the name and that’s all that matters,” Nazai said.

Lucas stepped next to me. “Is it my turn then, brother?” he questioned.
